at our camera at new port richey. four inches of rain. impressive amounts as it trains across the area. that is where hermine is located as of 5:00. northeast coast for the holiday weekend there. the satellite shows how quick and fast and far it moved in a short amount of time since landfall at 1:30 a.m. near saint marx florida. now north of charleston spreading the rain and on shore flow north of the center of the storm in the coastal places of north carolina. there are the areas i'm talking about lining up offshore. mostly pasco drenched because they are in the unfortunate spot of the tail end of the storm dragging across the state and showers train over a certain area like a train track. as we saw training showers. those places are new port richey. pasco county. dade city, i-75 and land o' lakes. these areas see quite a bit of rain as a result of this storm. it is still going in some fashion. conditions are improving giving people a chance to dry out and certainly try to pick up after this storm. >> all right, thank you very much steve

taking a closer look, the green area for areas to new port richey. we got a report around 5:00 in new port richey there were water rescues of cars stuck because of the fast rising water. that heavy rain is moving off to the east. that is a pretty decent thunderstorm that continues to pop. citrus county, northern citrus over to crystal river also picking up rain. most of their issues was coastal related last night and this morning due to high tide. if you look at futurecast this evening, there will still be a large area out in the gulf of mexico. now, i think overnight, this lingers. and by tomorrow morning, we start to see some of this rain coming in. it won't be nearly as heavy as it was the last couple of days. but we will begin to see some rain first thing in the morning. and i think that will be an impact on the first half of your weekend. the second half, changes. i'll talk about them coming up. >> that rain that he was just talking about caused flash

mark douglas joins us live at new port richey. mark, that's one of the hardest areas hit by this storm. isn't that right? >> reporter: absolutely, josh. the folks here in anclott river estates are about as water logged as they could get. you can see how deep it got. it was another foot deeper when they got here, so it has dropped, but not that much. we road along this -- rode along with some first responders as they delivered water door to do people who live here. >> reporter: pasco county teamed up with florida fish and wildlife to help trapped people suffering out here. >> reporter: we rode along their swamp buggy as pasco firefighters delivered cases of drinking water door to door. >> don't bring it all the way to your house, ma'am. we'll bring it to you. >> reporter: we're in the deeper part of the river where you can still see it rushing by here. there is nobody home back here, but they're still checking to see if other people might be trapped. down the road they discovered 92-year-old clyde rich. his home was an island, was

upper 80s for new port richey and the humidity is very high as well. you can see the numbers out in dade city. 89 in venice with the feel-like number. and then it will feel like 93 and feels like 98 in lakeland with the big blow up of the showers and the thunderstorms as you could follow and tract outflow boundaries, colliding with the east coast sea breeze, dry air above the atmosphere looking pretty nice there. and slowly the try air will settle into the northern part of the state. i think that the northern section of the area will help stabilize our atmosphere. we have karl and tropical depression 13, that's a new one. but now a tropical depression. karl is way out there with 40 miles per hour winds around the bermuda area turning away from the u.s. potentially strengthening into a category 2 hurricane. this one storm 13 that will stay out at sea. but there is your hurricane season for 2016 just kind of running on here now past the peak. 40% rain chance for tuesday. the same kind of thing with a morning shower on the coast then moving inland. genera
