there's the center crossing from georgia into south carolina. the rain stretches a very long distance from the center of the storm. you see it stretching up the mid-atlantic states here approaching our area. but it is still sitting south of us. as far as the rain from the center of this storm, it stretches about 400 miles from the center. again, we'll start to see it move into parts of the area as early as tomorrow. we'll be tracking the timing very closely for you. as far as the rainfall rates, closer to the center is some of the heaviest rain. almost 1 1/2 inches of rain per hour. we're going to watch for this heavy rain as it gets closer. closer to the center of the storm as well we actually do have some buoy data here, just offshore of georgia and south carolina. winds gusting close to 60 miles an hour. and as it gets closer, there you see it, wave heights around 10 feet. take a look at the current wind gusts over land. now, this is not from our buoy data, this is from our land observation. buford in south carolina, close to 50 mile an hour
