the city of "wauchula" has been under a boil water notice. the city says workers accidentally broke a water main monday morning. the water had to be shut off while the pipe was repaired. ?most of the city's six-thousand residents got their water back late last night. but the rest may have to wait until later this morning. the area will be under a boil water notice until wednesday afternoon, at the earliest. governor rick scott is in polk county today... at the changes to how enviornmental disasters are ?reported. the hole at the mosaic plant in mulberry spilled ?hundreds of millions of gallons of contaminated water into the aquifer. but partment of environmental protection about it... ?not the homeowners who live nearby. mosaic and the d-e-p say they were just following state law... because the pollution did ?not leave the plant's property. governor rick scott now wants to change that policy. he wants polluters to notify neighbors ?anytime there is a spill. it common sense, which neighbors agree with: mosaic has been paying for homeowners to

tracking rain from venice to north port and wauchula, arcadia, everyone dealing with a little rain today. showers and storms pushing off the coast of crystal river. also tracking rain around -- now. the st location. only picked up .18 inches of rain. temperatures in the mid 70s. you can see temperatures really vary depending on if you've seen the rain or not. in tampa, it's 90 at the airport. 86 in brooksville. 81 in inverness. so there's the tropical wave we're looking at. currently situated over the bahamas. bringing heavier rain there. as we head into tomorrow, we'll see deeper moisture into the around 9:00 p.m. after sunset or so, when you wake up tomorrow morning, not expecting much in the way of rain, it'll be muggier, and you'll see extra clouds around. as we head into your lunch hour, we'll see showers and storms developing. especially inland. then we'll see scattered showers and storms throughout the day. so a good chance of rain throughout the day. you can almost see that tropical feature as it moves to the wednesday morning, can't rule out a couple showers still around. we'll

it's 77 in sebring, wauchula at 75, 79 in tampa and 80 in st. petersburg. radar is 100% dry this morning. well, let's see. not 100%. we would a tiny sprinkle if you call it that. that's 100% dry in most spots. northeast flow. that drove showers back west late in the day. both meet up inland, so we start with the best rain chance near the coast about early afternoon and then shifting inland late. a 40% rain chance today, up to 50% monday. then perhaps a little bit i of i drier air mid and late week and that's questionable. we see storms and the rain chances go down some. we have tropical depression julia east of the state. more on that comes up. the first important futurecast today, by 2:00 p.m. spotty rain near the coast. by 6:00, 7:00 as the sea breezes meet up east of i-75 that's where we see it. with a collision can't rule out one or two stronger storms today and the not just spotty rain. monday light onshore winds mean showers at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. a 50% rain chance as i mentioned during the day on monday. so here we go. we have high pressure

low 70s from wauchula to lakeland. we're all muggy. that surface moisture is still here. you kind of felt it moving in yesterday:dew points in the mid 70s so that summer-like feel to start out the day and check out all the moisture deepening in the mid levels of the atmosphere on water vapor imagery. notice the brightest whites, that's the moisture hugging the eastern part of the state. some of this will wrap around low pressure later today and in the rain coverage. we're not seeing it yet. most of the morning will be dry. i've seen a couple of spotty sprinkles in eastern polk county but they've been fading away. that's where we start to see more showers and that's where the heaviest rainfall totals will be today. i do want to stress it's not a day to rain everywhere this afternoon. we'll just see a better coverage as the tropical wave moves northwest through our area. as it does so, clouds will be moving in as well and tt upper 80s this afternoon but rain chances up to 60% through thursday. the further inland you live today, that coverage is 60%. friday and saturday look

same for our friends in wauchula this morning. lakeland at 72. bartow at 73 and notice how if you're from tampa north, it's two to four degrees cooler than it was yesterday at this time. not a huge difference but in some cases, it is a noticeable difference. what we've done is take this dew point and knock it back in the 70s all summer long. now i'm going to say this. get used to it because it does look like this lower level moisture will start to increase again tomorrow. but at least this morning, it really is a nice little start to the day. the further south you go, the more moisture there is in the atmosphere, the better rain chance you're going to have. albeit, it's only slightly better. today we're looking at 20% rain chance in the tampa area. i didn't see much on the it was all further south from sarasota south and the same thing will happen again today with high pressure really in control. the future cast does a decent job of pinpointing. these little green blips are isolated showers. i'm going to tell you that it may not rain exact until
