nick bohr, wisn 12 news. joyce: milwaukee police need your help tracking down a sexual assault suspect. this is a sketch police released just hours ago. the assault happened late last at the 19-year-old victim, then sexually assaulted her. the suspect is on the loose tonight. people we spoke with in the neighborhood say, it's unsettling. >> the first time i have ever heard anything like that happening in this area. i am totally shocked. joyce: here is the sketch of the suspect again. police say he is a black man, 35 to 40-years-old with a muscular build and gold front teeth. we've also shared the sketch on our facebook page. anyone with information is urged to call police right away. kathy: new on wisn 12, a judge has named a special prosecutor in steven avery's latest appeal. avery, the subject of the netflix docu-series "making a murderer," wants extensive new forensic testing on evidence that helped convict him. avery contends manitowoc county prosecutors framed him for the 2005 murder of teresa halbach. a

live in west allis, mike anderson, wisn 12 news. >> thanks, mike. flooding also impacted some schools in dodge county. the hardest hit area in the area yesterday. tim is here with more on the cleanup underway this morning. >> it was a huge mess. i went for a run and the a lot of people are dealing with the aftermath of yesterday's storms. the police chief says an overflowing natural spring caused flooding at parkview elementary in mayville. water rushed over to st. john's lutheran school less than half a mile away. volunteers and firefighters from several departments spent hours trying to move the water and keep it out of the school. students had to be picked up and taken home early, but we're told both schools will be back open today. a big mess in a lot of communities. i was w when some of that heavy rain came down. two people were in the parking lot here trying to get their vehicles out of the parking lot. one the cars was floating at one point. no one was hurt. ben? >> a lot of you have pictures of yesterday's flooding. we appreciate all of the

wisn , wisn 12 news. >> milwaukee police are looking this is surveillance video from the subway at 107th and heather. you see the man put a gun to the cashier's face. a customer holds his hands up and then hides. the suspect jumps over the counter to steal cash from the register and runs off. police say this happened one week ago today. if you recognize the suspect, call police. >> new tonight, milwaukee police are investigating a homicide. officers tell 12 news the man's body was found in a van in an alley near 24th place and hope just north of capitol drive. he had been shot. you can see the driver side door is open while police gather evidence. it happened just after noon. no suspects are in custody. there have been 96 homicides this year, compared to 111 this time last year. a hit and run driver sends two people to a hospital. the victims were walking along pleasant this morning when they were struck. as wisn 12 news thema ponton reports, an unusual set of circumstances is making it difficult for police to catch the driver. >> mount pleasant police responded for reports of a shooting

just download the wisn 12 news app. it's free for your smartphone or tablet. >> right now, a 28-year-old man is in custody accused of detonating a bomb in new york explosions in new york and new jersey. tim, what do we know about the suspect and how investigators found him? >> his name is ahmad khan rahami. he was seen on surveillance camera near the bombing site in new york's chelsea neighborhood where 29 people were hurt. he was born in afghanistan but later became a u.s. citizen. officials say they found a backpack full of explosives at his apartment in elizabeth, new jersey not far from the spot where they discovered explosives in a trash can. rahami was capturete getting injured in a shootout with police. he's now facing five charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer connected to the standoff. see the video there of him being loaded into the ambulance. now investigators are working to find out if rahami was working alone or if he was connected to something much bigger. ben, back to you. >> "good morn
