rob mayeda, anything surprising? >> the snow levels for one thing. way up at 9 to 10,000 feet. rain around the fire at lake tahoe, which is good news, but the winds extremely strong. it's not chain control you have to be worried about, but wind gusts near the summit. 90 to 100 miles per hour. or higher. along interstate 80, you'll see gusts at 65 miles per hour. not until we get to monday, where some cool air finally comes in and bring the snow levels down into the sierra. most of the rain focused south of san francisco and south of the tri valley. and look at the numbers outside. rain and numbers in the mid to upper 60s around the bay area. rain totals around the peninsula almost three quarters of an inch of rain. and on the ocean-facing side of the santa cruz mountains, about 1 to 2 inches of rain. but then what happened here in san jose? not much rain. this is our rain shadow effect where the moisture is forced to rain out on the santa cruz facing sides of the mountain. and as the air descends and dries, the rain totals drop off. then the air is forced to rides up again and
