political reporter theo keith is back from madison -- theo, when's this going to start? the wisconsin elections commission is telling its 72 county clerks to prepare to start re-counting on thursday. that assumes green party candidate jill stein forks over an estimated 1 point 1 million dollars -- the full cost of the recount -- by 4:30 p-m tomorrow. of now, president-elect donald trump leads hillary clinton by 22-thousand votes in wisconsin. stein got barely 1 percent of the vote. the clerks and the state are up against a december 13th deadline to have the results of the recount certified, and elections officials say that will be a challenge in some counties. some clerks say their staff will work nights and weekends to get this done. if a recount contest is not law provides that congress is not required to honor the slate of electors chosen to represent that state so, how's the recount going to get done? today, the commission rejected stein's request that clerks hand-count all of the ballots. as of now, clerks will be able to feed ballots through voting machines -- we'r

but we start with political reporter theo keith. he joins us in the studio with the stein campaign has decided not to appeal a dane county judge's ruling voting machines to re-count ballots. stein is urging clerks to do a hand-count. but the wisconsin elections commission says clerks should feel no pressure to do so. the commission held its final meeting with clerks before the recount starts tomorrow at 9 a-m. the lead elections administrator called it "good news" that stein had dropped her legal challenge because it will give clerks certainty. he says the biggest challenge for clerks will be tabulators -- for the near round-the-clock recount process. we already had some calls from counties this week that they are having a little bit of a challenge finding enough people :00 and thats why we asked them to keep track of their pace, pay attention to it, and hopefully not get too far behind the clerks will have until december 12th. the state faces a december 13th results or it's not guaranteed that congress would recognize wisconsin's 1

political reporter theo keith joins us. theo -- you were in the courthouse earlier -- what comes next? there of course is the possibility of an appeal. we asked but the stein campaign isn't saying if that's in the cards. an official with the elections commission says staff will hold a teleconference at 10 a-m. they're calling it a "webinar" county clerks on the line as possible, and we'll be there. no doubt the clerks will have questions about what the judge's ruling tonight means for them. there were about 20 clerks who wanted to use voting machines to recount at least some of their ballots. that includes milwaukee county, where the clerk cast doubt yesterday on his ability to finish by the december 12th deadline if he had to hand-count everything. they will get to use machines if they wish. the judge said she wasn't convinced by they produced theories but no evidence that wisconsin's voting machines were tampered with during the election. attorney general brad schimel says he's pleased with the judge's decision. after tom
