again there was a meeting between the president-elect and chris christie during which i was told it was a short and sweet meeting and during that short and sweet meeting christie said he doesn't want to be part of the public speculation show anymore and that he was happy to remain donald trump's friend and an informal adviser and that he wants to remain as governor. i think the translation of that is also that christie didn't get anything close to what he wanted. there was a lot of personal friction there. remember, he lost his job running the transition. so they had a conversation where i'm told the president-elect felt -- said he felt badly and wanted to patch things up but it was clearly difficult for both of them. >> you have rudy giuliani, out, chris christie, out. some other high profile supporters of donald trump. newt gingrich, mike huckabee. what are you hearing? >> don't cry for me argentinarg. these guys are going to make a ton of money selling their closeness and insight of donald trump and his administration. their proximity to it. look, they have a great life. i know rudy

governor chris christie has vetoed several gender pay bills in the past because of concerns over penalties associated with the legislation. >> we're paying the price for an accident rick and monica. paying in the form of delays along 95 southbound side as you come south of penn's landing through this points right under the walt whitman bridge. these are the southbound lanes, the crash is now pushed off to the side but you can see headed down towards broad street it is a slow go. so, if you're headed down to wwe monday night raw at the wells fargo center watch out, it is going to be a slow go there on 95. vine street expressway is less slow than the last time we looked at it. westbound side in fact a delay has cleared out pretty nicely because the crash westbound at broad street is gone.

chris christie. of course, there's been all the drama behind the scenes with chris christie. this is from politico reporting, as we should say. christie interested in being the chair of the republican national committee. that might be an interesting role for chris christie because he likes the spotlight, keeps him a little bit away from the white house. that seems like a gig he would want. would trump want him there, do you think? >> what's interesting about the selection process, you think about christie, rudy giuliani, who have been there with trump, been so loyal to him, and to think they wouldn't serve in the administration, i think, is pretty interesting. for christie i think that could be a big role. whether republicans want him to be the face of the party after bridgegate, after all that's gone on with chris christie is another question. he was chair of the rga. he kind of knows the ins and outs of managing these kinds of things, fundraising and that thing, but if republicans want chris christie to be the face of the party, i'm not convinced they do at this point. >> a

chris christie, people close to him says he feels a bit mistreated. people in the trump inner circle, some are rewarded, others in this transition process, don, doug's been through a bunch of these in the past, this does happen, but it's been a very public process. and a lot of trump loyalists are actually starting to grumble, saying, why is mitt romney getting all of this face time. why is he getting considered sistfor something, when those of us that were in the fight longer are getting passed over. >> interesting. douglas, do you have a perspective on this? >> yeah, look, i think rudy giuliani may not have been vetable in the end. his business dealings are a bit strange and we certainly don't know whether he could have passed mustard. i think you're seeing donald trump tilt to the military men a lot. i think general petraeus, who would have a difficult confirmation, but i think he'd get through, still in the running for secretary of state. but senator corker of tennessee to me seems to be somebody that trump might end up leaning towards. republican
