nbc10's brandon hudson live in bristol township and repair crews working well into the night. >> reporter: erin and keith, that's where we've seen them most of the night. regardless, this bridge will remain closed until they figure out where it's safe for you to drive on. our nbc10 camera saw turnpike crews working into the night on the delaware river turnpike bridge. hours earlier, officials decided to shut the down bridge indefinitely for emergency repairs. the bridge is just a few yards away from fred's house. he told us the bridge repairs are long overdue. >> some of the debris did come down into my yard. >> reporter: warned drivers during the evening rush hour. we met a driver from north carolina who was trying to get to new jersey for a funeral. >> how long have you been sitting in traffic? >> it's been on and off for about an hour and a half. >> it's a mad house. >> reporter: stopped at a nearby to directions. he was a truck driver trying to pick up the delivery from the new jersey side but couldn't find a convenient way across the river. >> people were blocking the freeway. >> rep

. >> brandon hudson is live at the hospital where doctors are trying to save his life. brandon? >> reporter: the atv rider was seriously injured. police say early indications that child was wearing his helmet and the child who died was not. when we arrived, we saw an upside down atv in the middle of the road. police say the two riders t-boned a car on the passenger side as the driver tried turning. the impact killed one of the 13-year-olds. a witness described what she saw after the crash. >> it was a bad sight. it was a quad turned over. a body in the middle of the road. first time i've seen something like that. bad. >> we get a lot of calls for them riding on the roadway. this is two individuals, tragic accident, but they were riding on the roadway. it appears one of them was wearing a helmet at the time. >> reporter: that was a township police lieutenant talking about the dangers of atv riding on the roadway. tonight, we found this. according to a recent report in 2015, 58 atv riders who died were under the age of 16. 32 were under the age of 12. that same report says that pe

. >> nbc 10's brandon hudson is live with the controversy. brandon? >> reporter: jim and jacqueline, the play we're talking about is the high school production of the broadway musical "ragtime." the school board meeting wrapped up. here's the deal. of the students who spoke, most of them -- both black and white -- want to keep this word in the play but there are some adults who don't think the word should be used because of our country's current racial climate. >> you certainly have a right to speak. >> the cherry hill public school board meeting was so big that not everyone could sit down. most wanted to discuss the use of the the "n" word in the cherry heil production of "ragtime" about three diverse families who were neighbors in early 20th century america. two of the students in the play were the first to speak in favor of keeping the word in the play. >> i firmly believe "ragtime" should be performed without censorship so that everyone involved sees the ugliness in human history. >> we need to hear these words to not let history repeat itself. >>

. >> nbc 10's brandon hudson is live in the neighborhood. brandon, what's going on right now? >> reporter: jim and jacqueline, it appears crews are done with this sinkhole. look at the progress they've made since early this evening. you can see from our vantage point where they have filled up that hole. it appears to be stabilize and the truck that was dangling earlier is closer to the home. it's hard to believe last night around this time when these people were going to bed there was two front yards and a driveway. it's been a long night and a long day to homeowners. they woke up to a loud crash, walked outside and saw this massive sinkhole. while crews worked to fill up this massive sinkhole in glenside, neighbors are hit with the reality of using bottled water to drink, brush their teeth and do other household chores. a boil-water advisory is in effect until further notice. tonight we saw people return them brook street with cases and jugs of water. >> i got a lot of water because i'm not trusting the water around here. no way. >> reporter: sky force 10 shows you the best p

brandon hudson reports. >> reporter: state police took monell here before he went to jail. i spoke to the victim's mom who says she's relieved her family doesn't have to look over their shoulders anymore. >> i think i'm still number. >> reporter: emily oshay is still trying to cope with her daughter's murder nearly two weeks ago. we spoke to her an hour after police arrested her estranged husband jeremiah. >> i don't think he deserves the death penalty. what he deserves is to go to jail and stay there for the rest of his life. >> reporter: sources tell nbc10 police captured mo nel near a strip mall on east black horse pike in folson, the end to a search which began a few days before christmas. they say he stabbed his estranged wife in front of their children. police found mo nel's pickup truck abandoned in a small town late last month. he wasn't arrested till today. more than 20 miles away from where oshay watson was killed. >> he believed in his bible and his goud. i believe in god, too. god needs to deal with him. >> reporter: oshay says she's tried to get her daughter to

. >> nbc 10's brandon hudson reports from lansdale. >> reporter: this is a mugshot of mark miller. he is a retired air force major and former rotc teacher. he is charged with sexual misconduct with one of his students. we went to the school tonight hours after parents and teachers found out. >> that's terrible. that's awful news and a shame for this community. >> reporter: police paperwork shows in december police went to north penn to speak with students while information on his month-long inappropriate relationship. according to the affidavit, the alleged encounters happened inside miller's car at a nearby business park and a hotel room at a marriott courtyard where investigators saw miller on hotel surveillance. police say miller told the alleged victim his marriage was ending soon and he wanted her to be with him in the future. a parent who wanted to remain anonymous told us she's relieved miller is no longer with the school. >> it was the topic of conversation at dinner tonight, and we just have to go through and explain that's an abuse of power. >> reporter: the north penn sc
