they look to indiana. this is very common. indiana is generally settled south to north. there are a lot of farmers in the same boat who are looking to indiana, a relatively newer area, to recoup their fortunes. things are not going well for them in kentucky. he is part of a larger wave. they're all going that way. land prices in indiana are cheaper than kentucky. the land is not quite as good, but the land prices are cheaper largely because indiana is such a difficult place to start a farm because of the backwoods and wilderness and difficulty in clearing it out. but you can get land cheaper. they have more stable land titles. this is why thomas packs up his family. dennis comes with them. we are not really sure. dennis is what is wondering sorts. he goes back and forth between the various hanks and lincoln relatives across the ohio river. he goes with them, he goes back, he comes back again. he comes to a place somewhere right in here. to this day we are not exactly sure where they crossed the ohio river. there was a good debate about that. i think the records are littl
