two vehicles were swallowed up i'm natasha brown thank you so much for joining us. imagine going out to your car and seeing it submerged in a giant hole. that's what happened today to two residents on east boston street in philadelphia's fishtown neighborhood. eyewitness news reporter anita ohe is on the scene this all started with a water main break. >> that's rite, natasha. crews are working to repair the sinkhole which as you mentioned swallowed up the two cars. they've been able to put those two cars out of the sink hole since then. cause imagine a lot of damage remains. >> reporter: it's really not something you ever expect to see. >> street ate my car. >> we opened the door and saw commotion and looked down the street and my car was halfway in a sinkhole. >> that giant sinkhole measuring 40 feet by 60 feet swallowed two cars in the 200 block of east boston street and fishtown. >> it was a crash. everybody woke up. >> a 6" water main broke which flooded basements with water. >> there's mud and muck on the streets. >> shortly after a crew from the philadelphia w

i'm natasha zouves. jessica enjoying the day off. we have meteorologist mike nicco bringing us 60s this weekend. we'll talk about that in a second. alexis smith, you were really busy for the start. things are getting better, right? >> we thought we might have a major problem here for the morning commute but we are looking better. dublin/pleasanton area, we had a fiery crash that started at 6:00 last night. they were working on cleaning it up. basically, the entire night into this morning, so when we started 4:30, we had four out of six lanes down. they were able to get them open about 40 minutes ago. so we are recovering. slight delay approaching 680. if anything, that's probably just our normal backups that we start to see this time of day so about 34 miles per hour. really not significant at this point and friday light volumes for almost everyone and any minute now we're going to get those metering lights flipped on. let's check in with mike nicco and yes, we are all very excited about the sun and the warm temperatures this weekend
