breaking news, the action cam is live on the scene in northeast philadelphia. as we zoom in you can see the overturned septa bus completely flipped over on its side in the median. fortunately nobody was on board. the driver eject rejected from the scene. a horrible accident that's causing traffic problems on woodhaven road eastbound at knights road. we see snow and ice in and around that area, unclear if that was a factor in the accident that flipped over a septa bus. here's another look at the scene, woodhaven road eastbound. we see more crews on the scene with this. police completely blocking woodhaven road eastbound. there's the septa bus in the dark right there. the left lane is blocked on millbrook road as you see crews out there, as well. construction has cleared at route 1 northbound at oxford valley road. aramingo avenue at allegheny avenue to give you an idea of what the secondary roads look like. you can see the shine on the road. temperatures below freezing. watch for slick spots here and there. >> new on "action news," nearly all subway stations in

we're seeing light snow in northeast philadelphia, we're along the boulevard by tyson. of course now that we're live there's not a whole lot of cars, a bunch of them came through just a few seconds ago, when they come through you will see they are moving along just fine. the road surface is wet, but it's clear. use caution you might see slushy patches or slick spots on the side streets. neighborhood streets you'll see more coverage and less blacktop. you want to be careful as you head out the door this morning. the city has been getting ready for this, two nights ago the streets department crews brined the boulevard and some of the higher elevations of the city. they mobilized at 7:00 p.m. last night for crews to start their salting operation. they had 70 trucks out with 50,000 tons of salt available. so plenty of salt for us for this storm. drivers we have spoken to have not run into any major issues this morning in the area. hour the roads so far? >> so far not too bad. they plowed most of the streets so far. the major streets have been plowed. >> reporter: how about

lets go outside to northeast philadelphia we have been following this breaking news. overturned september bus has happened just before 4:00 this morning when a septa bus, without any passengers on the bus. that is good news. nobody on the the bus except the driver. they flipped over on that eastbound stretch of woodhaven road right here near knights road. of course, right there by the philadelphia mall, the old franklin mills mall. the driver of the bus was taken to aria torresdale hospital treated for non-life threatening injuries. so that is good news. the bad news is that this busies now wedged between a concrete divider, laying on its side on the greats. they have septa tow truck in here to try to drag the bus out to a point where they can flip it up. they have to get it past guardrail here. i wouldn't be advised if early morning ice, didn't have something to do with this. all of the road this morning if there is even a chance of it looking wet, iced over. we will continue to lose a couple degrees an hour here. 12 degrees is the actual temperature. obviously real

let's go out to katherine scott along the boulevard in northeast philadelphia. heavily traveled area, how is it looking katherine? >> reporter: the snow has stopped falling in northeast philadelphia. the roads are looking okay. let me get out of the way you can see the boulevard by tyson, the cars are moving along just fine, you just got a little nervous there for a second. the roads are wet, you want to look out for slushy spots, wet spots, the temperatures are valuables very cold, so there could be icy patches, you want to use caution as you head out the door. especially on the neighborhoods streets you might see more coverage there on the side streets and the back streets. the city has prepared for this. two nights ago the street department crews were out brining the boulevard and some of the higher elevations in the city. last night crews mobilized around 7:00 p.m. to start their salting operations. they have 70 trucks out with 50,000 tons of salt available. we've been speaking to drivers this morning, you we have not hd any major complaints for them, they a

i'm happy to report, just as katie predicted, the snow has stopped here in northeast philadelphia. and thank goodness, for that. but take a look here, people will still be having to deal with the snow from overnight. take a look at the cars over here, two, 3 inches on top of the cars that will need to be cleaned off. fortunately for everybody, it is that really light, flurry snow, that you can just kind of push off your cars here. this is frankford avenue. you're looking at. you can see, you know, traffic moving at pretty good pace as the morning commute starts up here. but this is a good location to show you some things, because you can also see all of the little side streets off frankford. which have yet to be plowed. so you will want to be extra careful on those streets. you can also see the sidewalks also are a little slippery, just the fine layer of snow on the ground. but the road here, the imagine or roads in the city, looking pretty good. that will was not the case overnight, technically for i-95. we saw at least six accidents on both the northbound and the southbound side.
