good morning, jesse -- reggie. this ramp just opened a short time ago and it was closed as investigators gather details in this police-involved shooting. here is a look at the scene from a short time ago. police cars were on scene gathering evidence and here is what police tell us. so at 11:30 last night chp responded to a vehicle collision on the connector from northbound 101 to northbound 880. something happened while those officers were handling that traffic stop. and shots were fired. police say no officer was injured by a suspect was injured and taken to the hospital. nonlife-threatening injuries. now investigators immediately closed the nearby ramp and that is where they were most of the morning. we know this black jetta parked here on the ramp, and this time we don't know what role it is playing in the investigation but it was here all morning and overnight. it could be possible evidence. the rear window of that jetta has several holes that look like bullet holes. so just a little while ago, that car was tow

>> reporter: hi, reggie. here is the recovery. this is where traffic is moving again. this is what u have to look forward to. you do have, eventually, a clear path into oakland and san francisco. here on westbound 580. unfortunately, though, there is a backup that did accumulate. here's the live look at sky7 at how that's looking right now. it's going to take a while to work itself out. what happened was they had to shut down two lanes here on 580 to do some pothole repair work. the potholes from the storms opened up and they had to deal with them so they shut the lanes down at noon yesterday so they have been at it for a while. worked overnight. they just reopened the lanes within the last 30 minutes. so they did get it open in time for the heart of the morning commute but for all the early risers, the pain is being felt, and the backup is -- has qumed. so there is going to be a delay pushing through here, but hopefully, if you haven't left the house yet, but the time you get here, this will have opened up and eased up for you and you can get on into work. but just be

. >> reporter: good morning, reggie. some people who live next to this building or nearby say they are ready for the wrecking ball to show up. look at how it's fenced off. it's abandoned. and the concern is that it's going to fall into the ocean. this city now agrees and says it's time for it to go. the city council voted unanimously last night to pay for the demolition. it will cost about $200,000. the owner of the building is not taking responsibility for this situation. officials say, because he has declared bankruptcy. meanwhile, the building has sat empty and neglected. >> and you know, you had squatters and i've been out here when people breaking windows inside and people staying in there and stuff. it's just not safe to have it. >> reporter: this cliff has eroded significantly over the past few weeks. officials say the building could fall into the ocean at any time now. that would contaminate it, of course, with just the debris but they're also worried about the lead and asbestos inside the building. engineers say

. >> reporter: good morning, natasha and reggie. since i last saw you, that hazmat crew has arrived and they have unloaded many of the chemicals from the back of that pickup truck into their own vehicle. this is just the first step in getting the exit ramp from northbound 880 on to mission boulevard back open for this morning commute. it's obviously a very important road for people heading to work this morning. this all happened just before 1:00 this morning. the f-150 pickup truck crashed into the sand barrels, separating the exit ramp with 880. pool chemicals ended up spilling out, including what they think could be sulfuric acid. biggest concern is they could mix and that would be bad for everyone out here. now they don't believe any spilled into the drain or waterways. the driver was not hurt but he was arrested on suspicion of dui. once they get these pool chemicals cleaned up out of that truck and away from the scene, then they'll have to call in the tow truck, get that truck towed away, and then hopefully people will be able
