this is sonoma creek near brookside road and cal -- caliene road. there was some flooding on highway 101 northbound in novato, the on ramp to highway 37 in that area was shut down due to flooding, so we had to take a round about way to get up here. we did catch up with sonoma public county works crews making the rounds a short time ago checking to be sure there was no flooding problems, seeing if they had to shut down any side streets in this area. they told me they haven't encountered any flooding problems in this area in sonoma just yet, but oftentimes when you have heavy rain and flash flood warnings as there is one in effect in this area and the bay area until 9:15 this morning, sometimes near highway 121 and fremont drive in sonoma they do have some problems there. for now looking at sonoma creek behind us, it's moving at a fast rate, but no flooding to report. still the rain isn't over. we could see scattered showers and it's not raining now, but about 10 minutes ago we had another cell pass over us and it rained pretty well and then it moved

up in sonoma, over 21 inches of rainfall. san francisco over 5," and look at the three peaks in southern monterey county. they picked up over 28 inches of rainfall. that's more than an entire year for san francisco and some more reports towards morago, 12 inches and napa, 13" of rainfall. those are the highest totals broken down by each county in portions of the bay area. here again, looks like we're looking at the five-day totals. we're talking about excessive rainfall and that's why we're talking about so many problems across the region. we have another system developing offshore, off in parts of the north bay, it will be a factor tomorrow and we'll let you know how much rainfall to expect in your neighborhood coming up. >>> to guerneville in sonoma county where the russian river crested this afternoon after several days of major flooding. people have been getting around in kayaks, canoes, and row boat. it will take some time though for water levels there to recede. in the meantime, some homes are inundated with water. one

sonoma county. a flood warning is in effect until 8:00 tonight. creeks have overflowed and they're seeing the potential for more problems as it takes a while for that rain to run off. flood warnings also until this evening for parts of santa cruz county, santa clara counties until monday at 3:45. so be aware of that. we are tracking some snow over mt. hamilton there shaded in the blue. mixed precipitation will continue as we head into tomorrow and it's snowing in the mountains. chain controls right now. if you're heading up to tahoe, not a good time to go. we are expecting the winter storm warning to remain up until monday morning. 4 to 6 feet of snow is expected above 4,000 feet by monday, so more snow coming. whiteout conditions, travel delays, just be aware of that and hold off on the travel. we're seeing quite a bit of cloudiness, temperatures upper 40s to the low 50s so we're target to feel the chill in the air as the system is pushing through. from our emeryville camera, still seeing raindrops
