earlier last night it was flooding, from ocean city to after license to wildwood, almost every street corner, was flooding. we saw tow truck operators, doing a tough business in terms of all night they said that yanking cars, out of waters that have been flooded. minor damage, to speak of. we hear there are scattered power outages but nothing major to speak of, other than we can almost certainly once sunrises this morning we will see a lot of beach erosion, once we see on these local beaches. cape may county emergency management says they will be in touch with those local officials tomorrow to assess what kind of beach erosion but i can tell you by screens anytime a nor'easter comes our way local beaches usually, lose a few feet of beaches as we continue to sianni feel some of these wind bands continues to pound the new jersey shore this morning n avalon, chris o'connell, fox 29 news. >> and there definitely will be beach erosion. we have 2500 people, without power, right now. so, bob had touched on this one of the problem areas we have been having has been route zero seven in cherry

we're getting reports wildwood, almost every street corner was flooded earlier tonight. especially in the low-lying areas. well luckily most of the rain has moved offshore lucy as you were saying but now we're contending with these winds. we understand they're going to be pounding us all night. again, especially in these unprotected areas. one of the things that happens when this kind of wind comes these nor'easters, beach erosi erosion. local municipalities throughout the night have been checking beaches and they're going to get a handle tomorrow on how much erosion. but i can tell you by experience, any time a nor'easter comes this way, you're going to lose a couple feet of each of these beaches. depending on which one it is, tomorrow they're going to know. so once again, all night tonight these winds most of the rain has moved out. but if you are on some of these long the beaches very careful once again winds upwards of 50, 60 miles an hour gusts and that will most likely continue through the night. here townsend's inlet we're in the middle of the road here. that's be

we're at the north end of north wildwood and check out that surf. being driven here into the coastline by those winds right off the ocean, you can see the ocean is crashing here up onto the rocks. almost to the sea away where we're stabbeding at second after. this high tide is happening now along the ocean front. it will be happening in about an hour or so from now along the back bays and that's when we could see and are expecting to see minor tidal flooding along the back bays. more likely we'll see more widespread tidal flooding during this afternoon's high tide in about 12 hours from now. major things we're going to be seeing today, probably more significant than the flooding is going to be the wind. and wind gusts here along the coast. very significant, potentially up to 60 miles ran hour later and that certainly can cause damage. so you see just how big those waves are. we're going to continue to be keeping track of the high tied this morning. here along the ocean, head to the bay for just a while. we'll continue to bring you these pictures. ke
