the battle between new jersey and atlantic city sins. and first responders are protecting the state's plan to slash public safety resources. police officers and firefighters took to both the boardwalk and city hall in atlantic city to speak out against proposed cuts. new jersey wants to layoff 100 firefighters and 4 police officers as part of the state's plan to take over atlantic city's finances law enforcement officials say these cuts will make the city less save for everyone. among those who spoke out, officer josh fidel who was shot in the head in the line of duty in september. we all took an oath to protect citizens of the state. who would have had thought we have to protect the citizens from the state. we're not going to be able to put out fires. we're noting whying to get there with enough time to safe someone whos has overdosed and we're not going to be there with the defibrator in times to bring your loved ones back. officials who are oversee atlantic city finances, they want to increase hours and eliminate some benefits. > cong

and if we head to atlantic city, breaking the 40 degree mark. at least we're starting to see perhaps a little thaw in the areas that get sunshine, especially on the pavement where the pavement can warm up and start to melt things. okay, this is going to be another big issue for tonight. it's going to be the feels like temperature and it's going to feel raw again at times. by the time we head into tomorrow night, we're really not going to have much of a feels like. why is that? because the winds are going to die down, finally no more bad hair, ladies. nothing blowing around. so this evening, we have wind gusts that are in the teens, watch what happens, by tomorrow morning, these have died down. even in philly, eight mile an hour wind. that's not too shabby. the winds are coming in out of the west. by tomorrow evening if you're headed out, you have plans, you'll be looking at calm winds, that's kind of a nice thing, right? you're not going to have to fasten everything dune aown andy about it so much. this is what i want to share with you. this is

not so much atlantic city, but it will graze atlantic city. all of this is going to continue off to the east. this is where the heaviest rainfall is going to be across the area. i think it's going to be in south jersey. what we have is this storm system being driven by this area of low pressure. you can see it's all moving off to the east. that low is set to cross the philadelphia area in the wee hours of the morning. it's pulling in all the moisture out of the south and the east from the atlantic. on the back side, it's pulling down drier air, so you can see it's already drying out in places like baltimore. so we're going to continue to watch this low pass the area. about 1:00 in the morning, it's past, and we start to see the drier air being pulled in. we may have a few scattered showers toward dawn, but after that things should quiet down. then we'll see those north winds coming in. that's going to really kind of keep us dry and cool as we head into sunday. but for our saturday, we're stuck in the cloud cover. again, we start to see some cl
