i'm rosemary orozco that is your weekend watch. >>> new information on efforts to repair the damaged spillway at oroville dam for the first time in three weeks water started gushing down the main spillway. water officials want to see how the damaged spillway handles the flow of water because snowmelt is causing the reservoir to philip they plan to keep the floodgates open for another five days or so as long as the damaged spillway can withstand the pressure. >> we have also gone to extreme efforts to basically cleanout and caulk every crack we could find, the idea is to ensure we don't have additional water moving through the deck that might further compromise the system. >> a huge crater developed in the spillway last month forcing operators to use an emergency spillway on a bare hillside which engineers said could collapse that is what led to the evacuation of more than 200,000 people who live downstream. >>> time for another check of the weather a nice day warmer outside the scope to the weather center. >> the weekend holds clouds may be a sprinkle but nothing to change your plans
