good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. it is rainy here in runnemede its been raining here for quite some time. if you take a look at the road surface you can see black horse pike here system wet. of course the plows have been through multiple times. this is a main road. some of the side streets might look a little bit sloppier at this stage. but since we last spoke, one of the things that we really have seen the difference in in the wind. the wind gusts have really picked up here but again, you can see the surface of the road of black horse pike is looking okay and we actually have seen quite a few cars come through here. still, use caution. it was snow earlier and it's certainly slippery and slushy, slippery conditions. this area has seen a changeover. earlier we saw more snow. then came the changeover to a wintry mix. it was very heavy flakes. then maybe around 3:30, that's when the rain started come congress and it was just pouring and it's been raining since. so, it's left a lot of slop on the street and the sidewalks

good morning, katherineism good morning, tam, that'sright,o governor christie will be sentenced today. they're both asking for a combination of home confinement, probation and community service but prosecutors are urging that the judge leniency. two former aides to governor christie will be sentenced toewark courtroom. bridget kelly and bill baroni were convicted in november on counts including wire fraud and conspiracy for their roles in the lane closing scandal on the george washington bridge.use in the country. the government star witness david wildstein who previously pleaded guilty in the plot, testified that he, kelly and baroni cre for four days in 2013 to teach a lesson to the democratic mayor of fort lee who wouldn't give his endorsement for christie reelection. baroni was his the port authority oversteig wildstein as deputy executive director. christie was not charged but the scandal plagued his presidential aspirations. questions linger over what exactly he knew. but back in novem the governor had this to say. >> i thought there were three people responsible. david wildstei

good morning, jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, tam. this is a confrontation that quickly escalated and resulted in a man being shot not once but twice in the face. police say this started around 2 o'clock in the morning just off of the 6100 block of market street and that's when they found a 37-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds to his face but there was a specific incident earlier in the night around 11 o'clock last night that involved the vice vices teenaged relative. that prompted the confrontation initiated by the 37-year-old man. >> now, preliminary information revealed that the motive for this shooting is that a family member of the 37-year-old shooting victim was robbed point of gun earl earlier in the evening. >> reporter: and detectives are on the scene right now processing some evidence. of course they're trying to track down this man and now they're investigating not one but two cases, the initial robbery and of course this shooting. we're told the victim was not armed. he's in critical condition at penn presbyte

tam is right. the question is what incentives do democrats have to work with this president? right now, h he has done nothing. actually, he hasn't done anything throughout his time as a candidate or president to reach out to anybody besides the people who already support him. now after a defeat, he's going to come to them and ask for their help? they don't have much incentive to do that. he's a president now sitting at somewhere around 41% approval rating if you put all the averages of the polls together. even for red-state democrats, they don't see a whole lot to fear either from crossing him. more important for democrats, the democratic base is energized. they are angry, and they are telling pollsters the number one thing they're concerned about is their own party's members compromising with this president. so the president has really boxed himself into a corner. he needs his people to support him, and just beingr being rah-, team player, sing to the base, isn't working for him. >> woodruff: he needs to get something up on the board. how much is he politically set back from
