(anny) the showdown continues and ann coulter is determined to speak at uc berkeley this week. in a twitter rampage and a fox news appearance, she accused the school of canceling the event and vowed to speak as planned. the berkeley college republicans say they will sue the university if they don't find a proper time and venue for the conservative commentator to speak by thursday. the lawyer who represents the college republicans says the school is violating the students' constitutional right to free speech. the coulter event was canceled last week due to security concerns. this comes after violent clashes between protestors earlier this year when alt-right figure milo yiannopolis was supposed to speak on campus. the school offered an afternoon event on may second, but coulter rejected it saying there are no classes that week because students are studying for their final exams. everyone we spoke with says coulter should be allowed to speak.
