(jr stone) an update now on that major fire - we covered yesterday in emeryville. a crane at risk of falling on firefighters and homes near a construction site that burned down... is no longer a threat tonight. the crane was seen dangling around two this morning on san pablo avenue in emeryville. firefighters say 35 residents who temporarily evacuated because of the crane....have returned to the area. no one was injured..but the flames damaged four townhouses next to the construction site. its unknown what started the fire. this is the second time in less than a year that the construction site has burned.
