we have rain in south jersey. let's get you outside sky6 live hd in philadelphia, we're looking at on sky6 live hd gray skies and lots of rain out there. there you see the ben franklin bridge under the clouds, a bit of a lull in philadelphia. it won't last. as we take a closer view on the heavy rain in south jersey you can see the ac expressway is in the process of picking up more and the atlantic county portion of the expressway has taken on a lot of rain this morning, you may see ponding and puddling, you may have have to drive slow there. poor drainage area flooding in atlantic county, cape may, cumberland county and some of it popped back into southern gloucester county and heading toward camden county. the movement is pretty much from the southeast -- or southwest i should say up toward the northeast. it's basically going parallel to the ac expressway and the garden state parkway. a wider view shows you that we do have additional rain out to the south and west that will pop through later on. 56 degrees is the

there's rain falling in parts of south jersey. we have heavier stuff in central portions of gloucester and camden county at this point. the movement is off to the northeast so it's kind of paralleling i-95, the jersey turnpike and definitely coming down at a good clip. as we go in toward philadelphia, the major highways and byways are damp. the northern and western suburbs are picking up less intense rain, but enough to make the roads wet. doylestown getting hit by this before not too much longer. the heavier hitters in the heart of south jersey, ac express way and glassboro and pushing toward medford lakes. if i go out wider, you can see additional rain to the west of baltimore all that spills through it will be wet through the morning and into the early afternoon before the rain shifts toward the east. as we look outside, we have sky6 live hd and there's the commodore barry bridge a little hard to see that bridge with the previous rain drops that are on the front of the camera there, unfortunately that's the way it looks across

we have light rain in south jersey. also into delaware. severe weather and thunderstorm watch popping up for areas in virginia, and then also, north carolina, that will stay away from our region for the rest of tonight so for the next 12 hours, early showers, mainly to the south of the city, otherwise, returning partly cloudy, dropping down to 54 in the suburbs and 58 degrees in philadelphia for the overnight low. here's the setup for us, for sunday, cloud and some sun, we have got high pressure to the north, mostly dry day, a high temperature in at 77. so if you want to travel down to the shore tomorrow, you should be okay, underneath mostly cloudy skies and we are tracking this area of low pressure from the west, and it will work eastward. overnight sunday and into the day on monday. so by monday lots of cloud and numerous showers, especially early in the day, otherwise a high temperature coming in at 78 degrees. here's future tracker six as we get into 8:00 p.m. sunday night. we have showers popping up but majority of the day, it looks

the south jersey father is accused of killing his 3-year-old son. john rawlins is live at courthouse in camden where the jury asked to review more evidence this morning. >> reporter: hi rick, actually the request for the evidence came last week, it was a rather large request and they only got to the last part of it this morning it was an audio replay of testimony. and the jury spent 45 minutes listening to an audio replay of earlier court testimony from a detective and display of a powerpoint log of social media contents between david creato and his girlfriend. and it lists contacts through phone and snap chas and texting. after the little boy was reported missing by the defendant. the jury requested this last week among other things, the recording of the 2015 interrogation of creato where detectives first told creato his son was found dead. >> no no no no! no no no. >> follow that emotional out burst it shows he regained his compositioner. the prosecution says he killed his son to maintain a relationship with his then girlfriend, who the prosecutio

"action news" reporter jeanette reyes is live outside the camden county courthouse where those deliberations take place. jeanette. >> reporter: well, matt, deliberations began late yesterday afternoon, lasted about 20 minutes. the defense saying this is a completely circumstantial case while the prosecution is arguing and arguing creato is the only one who benefited from his son's death. during closing arguments assistant prosecutor christine shaw stated david creato had motive means and opportunity to kill his son brendan back in 2015. >> got out of his bed went in the room and took brendan's pillow and put it over his face when he was sleeping and he held it down until brendan died smothering leaving no evidence behind. >> reporter: the toddler was placed in a creek in haddon township's cooper river park. prosecutors say creato smothered his son because he was interfering with creato's relationship with a teenaged girlfriend. but defense attorney reminded jurors you need more than a
