all right, sal castaneda. let's head to you. how is our traffic doing? >> well, it is going to be very slow, claudine and alex. one of the big spots in the bay area right now that you should know about would be traffic on 580 heading away from castro valley. eastbound 580. getting out to dublin interchange. there was an earlier accident and car fire. and normally it is not that bad. these are the backups that really take people by surprise. it is a very, very slow commute. it will be slow there. now, of course that's unusual. but then we have the usual slow traffic on 880 heading south into fremont. all of that is normal. but, again, i just want to let you know if you are driving let's say out to pleasanton from castro valley, you're going to be in a lot of slow traffic. if you can put the trip off, it might be good for to you do that so you don't end up in the slow traffic. still very slow through all of pittsburgh and bay point. and 680 is slow from walnut creek. remember, there's a power outage and some of the lights on valley road are not functioning

( darya ) a pilot of a blimp is recovering in a hospital after crashing near the u-s open golf tournament. this video shows the blimp falling out of the sky near golfers in wisconsin. the crash was a half mile away from the course and the pilot suffered serious burns. no one else was inside the blimp with the pilot. investigators do not know what caused the crash.
