jeanette reyes has more outside doylestown and jennette he is still on the rub. >> reporter: that's right, alicia, going on 14 hours, less than 30 minutes ago we got the update that the search was called off for daniel selby junior. this is what residents went to sleep with and woke up to a heavy police preference the loud sound of helicopters hovering overhead and k-9 units and heavily armed police looking for the inmate. authorities spent 12 hours looking for him in heavily wooded areas with rough terrain and nearby quarries. that complicated matters. it was not until 8:00 p.m. when police released details to media and residents. this started after the 25-year-old was picked up in landsdown for failure to app on a drug charge him while being transported he told officers he was sick, he was allowed out of the van and pushed the sheriff ran off into the night still handcuffed. police believe around 5:30 he was picked up at a 7-eleven at route 611 and he had -- edison road a mile away from the jail. >> detectives will interview family members and try to convince him to turn himself in. it

jeanette reyes is outside the courthouse in norristown with more. good morning, jennette. >> reporter: good morning, tam, i was here when we got news that the jury was deadlocked and that the judge was sending them back to resume deliberations and everyone here was stunned. just to give you an idea how long this is taking this is day five of deliberations over 40 hours, now, just about as long as the trial itself from opening statements to closing arguments, as long as that took you cannot overestimate how exhausted this jury is. day four of deliberations seemed to drag on after the jury told the judge they were deadlocked couldn't reach a unanimous decision on any of the charges. the judge said it was their duty to try their best to reach a verdict and try again. as deliberations approached 40 hours, the judge told the jury of seven men and five women you are exhausted, deliberations should be done with a fresh minds and body, around 9:00 p.m., a fatigued jury was sent back to their hotel. the famed comedian spokesperson pushed for a mistrial. >> i

jeanette reyes is live at police headquarters with the latest on the homicide and the search for the shooter. jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, matt. police found more than a dozen shell casings but one gunshot is what killed this teen. police are talking to his brother and another witness. they're hoping that will help them track town the killer. take a look at the video -- this shooting happened around 11 o'clock last night. the 18-year-old victim was hit once in the back. this is as he was trying run away from the gunman. he stumbled into a home where we believe his family was and that's where he collapsed. relatives called philadelphia police and officers took the victim to children's hospital in a patrol car. he was originally listed in critical condition, then pronounced dead just two hours later around 1 o'clock this morning. >> they found that there was around 15 shell casings on the 2300 block of south marshall street as well as blood inside a property where the victim ran into. there was also blood in a projectile outside the house. >> reporter: now, in addition to those

jeanette reyes channel6 "action news." >> police are investigating the discovery of a human skeleton in the tioga-nicetown section. the body was that found 6 feet under what used to be a laundromat. part of the corpse was covered in adult female clothing. private contractors first made the discovery back on june 19th and at 1st they thought it might have been animal remains. they contacted police yesterday when they found a human skull and jawbone in an abandoned suitcase. residents say the laundromat was torn down one year ago. >> a drug raid in south jersey is highlighting the dangers agents face on the job. dmv ea agents recovered fentanyl and pill presses from a house on the 200 block of broadway in carneys point yesterday. residents took photos of the agents in hazmat suits. fentanyl is synthetic opioid pain medication is so potent officers must take extra safety measures. >> took a little bit out into my hand. if that was fentanyl that would be enough to kill four or five of us in this room. >> yesterday chester county district attorney tom hogan announced the results of a spec

jeanette reyes is live on day three at the montgomery county courthouse. good morning, jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, matt. we expect the jury to arrive here at the montgomery county courthouse in just a matter of hours to begin what would be the 17th hour of deliberations. day two of the deliberations really wrapped up the way it started with a lot of questions. take a look at this video from last night. a total of four times bill cosby and the media frenzy that followed him as crowds into courtroom a, the jury once more asking for context. the 79-year-old as you know chose not to take the stand but his words in a 2005 civil deposition have become the heart of the case and the focus for the jury. the judge reread two different parts of the decade old testimony and most recently from the detective who took andrea constand's initial report. meanwhile, interestingly enough, cosby's spokesperson seems to grow impatient outside of the courthouse even taking to the steps here calling a last minute press conference in which he read aloud a statement from a

jeanette reyes is live in doylestown where the search is taking place. jennette? >> reporter: matt, thousands of kids will be home from school today as the central bucks school district announced they will be closed as the search for the i know mate intensifies. take a live look behind me, i want to show you why. there's a heavy police preference as they search for the inmate along edison road. we're told this happened, the escape happened last night as the inmate was being transported in the area of bristol and lower state road. the inmate was being held at the bucks county correctional center less than a mile away. residents were told to shelter in place, they first learned of the police activities through a reverse 911 call and asked to stay in their homes and lock their doors, but not much information was given and that caused some alarm. since then, the state police have descend upon neighboring streets including this one here. police, sheriff and k-9 have been enlisted in the on going search. we saw activity pick up 30 minutes ago, we're not sure if there wa
