i'm julie watts in for michelle griego this morning. >> i'm devin fehely in for church. in the east bay as a fire station closes concern is growing over how quickly remaining crews can respond in an emergency. kpix 5's jessica flores is live in knightsen with the details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. yeah. the fire station is right behind me. it's shutting its doors a third time in five years because of lack of funding. now, this is right before the 4th of july holiday weekend when we know there's a lot of fire hazards for these folks here in knightsen. they will have to wait for the next closest fire station to respond to any emergencies. now, again, it's closing because of funding but also because of staffing. fire chief says the station continues to lose firefighters because there's little stability and the pay is low. voters have said no to raising taxes on three different occasions. the station has already closed twice in the last five years. this would be the third time. we spoke to residents in 2015 when the station was closing then. >> if somebody has
