that was only about six weeks after the fall wilmington. most historians focus their or inion on virginia terms of the seaport in charleston. wilmington played an incredibly important role during the war. not many people know about fort anderson. they hear about the forts guarding wilmington during the civil war, to hear about fort fisher and understandably so. the site of the two largest naval bombardments of the war, the largest amphibian operation in american history up until world war ii. we have this great earthen fort that is very important in guarding the city. we are here at the historic site of the national trust for historic preservation. the draytons were an important south carolina family. they play critical roles in the formation and development of the colony of south carolina. and in the formation of the nation itself. in fact, if you follow their trajectory through the 19th century, you will see the different descendents came apart as well. the family allows us to follow both the birth and development of the carolina colony,

the line coming through wilmington isn't going to take as long. it tax about half hour for this rain to move the length of that red arrow so in wilmington i would think 15 minutes of heavy rain and that's it. farther north it could be more like a half hour or even a little bit more. you know what, i want to just adjust that storm track just a hair. we might get a slight change on some of these arrival towns. some of these towns are already seeing lighter rain but i'm tracking that heavy stuff that's really going produce the ponding and puddling. ridley park collingdale closer to 6 o'clock. northeast philadelphia 5:58. darby 5:59 and delco and chester at just about 6 o'clock. that is the arrival of the heavy rain and while we're at it, how about we just move this track down the pike and see if we can't catch some of the towns farther to the south that are, again, only picking this up for about 15 minutes or so and it does look like arden, boothwyn brookhaven and lansdowne probably between now and about 5:54. i want to leave you with that wide view.

philadelphia and wilmington. you can see the wet weather that is moving through south central pennsylvania and into maryland. that's going to be moving in this morning. first of it arriving during the morning commute. that's not going to be all of it. there are more showers lining up to the southwest. much of this is coming from what was a tropical storm. if you look closely you can see what's left of the storm system. winds down to 15 miles an hour. seeing very heavy rain in arkansas. moving slowly. this system is going to have an impact on our weather not only today, but this afternoon and tonight and into tomorrow as the showers you can see to the west heavier downpours. those come in during the morning hours at 9:00. look at the rain coming down to philadelphia and into south jersey. going to temporarily drop the temperatures. really going to heat things up and likely lead to more showers this afternoon and possibly thunderstorms. these could be strong thunderstorms popping up with heavy downpours into this a

wilmington police have met -- they admit they've arrested the wrong person. investigators chasing new leads to find the room shooter. sabina kuriakose joining us from the wilmington police department, what do we know this morning, sabina? >> reporter: hey, good morning, thomas. well the shooting happened last tuesday, just few days later police made an arrest, but late last night, as you mentioned, the attorney general's office announced that it was dropping all charges against that man. let's go to video. this was the scene last tuscon this 700 block of east sixth street in wilmington. investigators say six year old jaysean banner sitting in a car along with his 31 year old mother, when gunman opened fire, around 2:30 in the afternoon sprague that area with bullet. police say jaysean nor his mother were the intended targets. police later charged 41 year old man who they say had a long criminal history. he was charged with attempted murder. but late yesterday, again, those charges were dropped. police now say they have new leads, and new suspect, all of which
