our police department is similar in that mindset and that is the culture of policing. simply changing the culture of policing is not one to be good enough because the existence and the reason for why we have law enforcement, again, is to keep people in line and to control people and to enforce the law. what the problem with that is there is zero accountability. and even within the law that -- the way it is written, the beginning sounds just fine to make you believe there is some accountability. however, they have included the word "fear." fear is something that a body cam cannot detect. it is very hard to prove regardless of what you see on a camera that an officer did not feel fear. we have to start with changing the law. we have to change the entire way that we look at what our community needs. do we need law enforcement in the way that it has been driven into our heads to believe we need? the answer is no. all answers need to be on the table. we need to have all voices at the table in this. this is not about being left or right, but moving forward. we need to have a

police are still searching for the shooter. joe cerletti was heading home to pittsburg when the shooting happened on saturday night. as he was approaching the 6-80 -- 242 split, a car pulled along side him and cut him off. cerletti pulled along side the car and starting talking with the driver. he says the driver swore at him and then began shooting. ( darya ) the shooter was driving a 20-17 white mercedes c-l-a 250. c-h-p says this shooting is different than past freeway shootings. most of those shootings were targeted or gang related, while this shooting appears to be random.
