(catherine) fire crews are worried about that town - which is close to the south fork of the merced river.. they're also concerned about the spot that's home to a famous grove of sequioas.. the fire has burned more than 22- hundred acres and is only about 5 percent contained. it's now forced the closure of at least one of the park roads, a golf course and a couple of campgrounds. it hasn't helped that many trees are already weakened by the drought and a beetle infestation. park rangers are warning some tourists that they might also have to move... tourist from england - we awake to the smell of ash. which isn't so good. we were able to take a nice swim in a bit of the river near here. which you can't get to now - because of the fire. park ranger - there's a lot of vegetation out there. a lot of ponderosa pines and cedars are affected. there's a lot of fuel, meaning this fire has a lot of opportunities to grow. the fire began early sunday and it's still not clear how it began. the comm
