we have team coverage for you tonight beginning with meteorologist cecily tynan tracking harvey's path. cecily. >> just got the latest update from the national hurricane center and harvey continues to strengthen maximum sustained winds up to 125 miles per hour. hits 130 it becomes a cat four hurricane and this storm was just a tropical depression two days ago and now you can see that sharply defined eye, it's only 60 miles east of corpus christi. it's moving northwest at 10 miles per hour so if it continues that track it will be making landfall along the southeast coast of texas within the next six hours. now, this is the 3-d imagery and you can see that this is a massive storm. it's very strong. we have very good symmetry. we have that deep eye. it's also 280 miles across and it's already starting to rain very heavily from houston through corpus christi and it will be raining here likely through next wednesday. we've also been seeing some tornado watches and warnings cropping up which is typical with the outer bands. so, this is one of the buoy reports here. shows a wind gust just to

meteorologist cecily tynan is live at the big board with your forecast. hi, cecily. >> hi, rick and you notice on the sky6 lots of clouds upstairs. started the day with some sunshine and now the clouds are in place. double scan live showing we have a few areas of light showers within those clouds, a lot of it not reaching the ground but we do have some light showers right now generally moving across new jersey turnpike, crossing route 70, again, not all that heavy. that continues to push to the east and what this is, it's a boundary. it's kind of like a warm front and that is bringing us higher dewpoints. yesterday very comfortable air mass. today definitely does feel like august again. philadelphia the dewpoint 65 degrees. you can see areas to the south dewpoints close to 70. when you get dewpoints in the 70's, that's that oppressive air mass. that's what we will be rolling in as we head through the overnight hours and tomorrow. so tonight the evening planner, not seeing much sunshine at all. lots of clouds and again a few showers and especially later on

meteorologist cecily tynan is live in the "action news" weather center with the latest on what could be a massively destructive ept, cecily. >> jim, this is a possible worst case scenario. we have a strengthening hurricane slowing down dramatically. i want to switch to weather one and show you the storm system. we have the infrared satellite. this storm was a suppression yesterday. it ramped up to a category one hurricane today. now you can see it continues to spin 250-miles south of corpus christie. if you look at the cloud tops, we have a lot of convection north of the center. once it comes together overnight, it should ramp up, continue to strengthen lieu the overnight hours. part of the reason why, you look at the gulf of mexico, it's like bath temperature. temperatures in the water, upper 80s. that's feeding the storm. there is not a lot of wind sheer and the storm will make landfall likely corps corpus christie asa category three hurricane and essentially stall. it will be so close to the coast, it won't weaken much. we are looking at the potential for major flooding, 15 to 25

meteorologist cecily tynan tracking the threat and joins us now live with the accuweather forecast. hi, cecily. >> hi, sharrie, hi rick. that line of severe storms is moving into our north and west county. you need lift, we got that with a cold front moving in and the fact that these are moving in the in the max heating of the day is also an ingredient that's really intensifying them. in fact, this line the past 15 minutes about 950 lightning strikes as it continues to push to the east at about 30 miles per hour. so, we have severe thunderstorm warnings really lining up all in advance of this system from parts of bucks county montgomery county berks county, a large portion of chester county and lancaster county. this means any storm in addition to to the heavy downpours and the lightning can contain wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour and even some large hail. so, we zoom in on this one part of the storm i'm watching and you can actually see a little bit of a bowing out. what this is is bow echo. it means there's rushing winds moving in behind that system so that line that's moving j

"action news" reporter bob brooks is live outside the building tonight. bob, what do we know about the arsonist and what's been going on there? >> reporter: well, jim, this is no doubt a major major problem here. plain and simple whoever is doing this needs to be caught accused of igniting six fires again at the sterling building just behind me. and atf tells us they believe it's a person who has access to the inside of the building. it's not the first or second but around midnight this has become the seventh call for a fire at the sterling building.
