anybody in hollywood who wants to work on that. database some acting schools that specifically work with people disabilities. david zimmerman, elaine hall, others specifically working with actors with disabilities. activistsists working to move this forward. the diversity movement has been very much in silos. where there is a group of people who want to see representation asian lgbtq community, community, african-american. one thing about disability is it touches every single community. so we really see ourselves as a potential convener of all of the different silos of people who together. because i think the disability community is far stronger if we can lock arms with other people who care about equality, inclusiveness, and celebrating the diversity of life in america. i am going to take moderators privilege and ask a question of leah, who has children. it is a non-hollywood question. it is like to raise kids and raise boys. not every mom wants to believe if a kid has a disability and not every aunt or uncle or whatever. addition

you should not look to hollywood for social advance. laughter. i don't mean to be flippant, but you looked to hollywood forfinancial advice. —— advance. does that mean you have to hold your nose? no, you don't have to. you just don't go to hollywood. you do your work somewhere else. the movies that we all love and relish are fantasy. that is why we love them. it is not the real world. there are plenty of wonderful films being made about the real world but they do not come out of what we think of as traditionally the hollywood machine. geena davis, for example, and a bunch of women actors and directors are really trying to change the way that women are depicted on the big screen. particularly in hollywood. we now get onto the campaigning work you do. is part of your campaigning work to try and change the way that film as a business works? no. my campaigning is all about allowing people to be themselves, whatever label they put on themselves. can we really grumble when, finally, it was agreed that moonlight should be the oscar film of the year,

there are a handful of excellent people in hollywood. leah is very important to this effort because without, these producers can't fill the role and so it is imperative if you are disabled and you don't have talent, you're not going to get a job. let's face it. we can't approach the industry as the principle we have to hire the right person for the role. >> who are the people you would pick that are the trendsetters? >> i haven't worked with them one-on-one but thone on one butn team i think they are doing a great job. i think also the production team from this is us, there are quite a few that are doing a lot. it starts there is obviously as i said earlier it starts with the narrative to try to get them to understand you have to write these stories so we can include actors with disabilities. but a lot of times it doesn't. it's not on the page so that it becomes the casting director's part to try to get them to think why not consider so and so for this. >> i will give you a personal example as you all probably know, twin peaks is back on
