lilian kim is live on grizzly peak boulevard with the latest on the situation. lilian. >> reporter: dan, fire crews are making sure those hot spots don't flare up, but it has proven to be quite a challenge, so much so one firefighters was sent to the hospital. that firefighter tumbled 50 feet. he was up on the hillside when he encountered a hornet's nest. he is in stable condition at the hospital but his injury is a reminder what crews are up against as they work to contain the fire overnight. >> it is very steep terrain. it is rugged, and so it is hazardous to the firefighters and it is exhausting for them. so they have the take things a little slower. >> reporter: the fire began near grizz loretta lynch peak boulevard near lawrence berkley national lab. the flames burned 20 acres and at one point firefighters considered shutting down the power to uc berkley because its transmission lines were in the fire's path. that never happened but the fire triggered closures of several site including the popular steam train ride. the mop up will continue through tomorrow
