that's what we still call it, the pennsylvania palace of art. because we're at the height of industry, height of capitalism. it wanted to show it's industrial, commercial wealth. and it did that thru the capitol building. so all this gold leaf and aluminum leaf and copper and everything else incorporated wanted to show it's at the height of architecistry. they actually go up through the next floor through giants chains and turn buckles. and they're attached to the steel tresses of the roof so they don't fall. the big chapd leers were done by a bronze company out of new york. the smaller sconces were done pie the pennsylvania bronze company located in philadelphia. the murals in the chamber here, the first mural is called the apothioses of pennsylvania history. so we have a state figure up at the top. and loosely grouped by famous religious figures in pennsylvania history, famous generals, explorers, filan thul thrupistes and the like. he kind of took that and worked into his own understanding. and then the last mural on the other side is the fir
