. >> reporter: good morning, reggie. that ban is just one of the changes, whether you're walking, biking, or taking transit, big changes are coming to market street. after years of debate, city officials have finally agreed on plans to change the way this corridor works. the better market street project will affect market street between the embarcadero and octavia street. officials have agreed to restrict all private car traffic, including uber and lyft from 10th street east to the embarcadero. new bike lanes will be adding and then delivery trucks and taxis can use the curb lane while muni will have exclusive use of the inside lanes. the goal is to improve muni's speeds, increase safety for everyone, and update the overall aesthetic of the market street corridor. construction is estimated at $604 million. the city has not announced where most of the money will come from, but it already has about $100 million in funding to get started. now, construction is expected to begin at the very end of next year, and it will be co

matt. >> reporter: yes, reggie. so much help is needed in texas. that's what first responders from here in the bay area are doing. they're on their way to help. they're on the road to texas. as soon as they get there, they'll help in the rescues that are very much needed. yesterday, a lot of preparations to get on the road. they had to pack their boats. they had to pack all that equipment here in menlo park. the state's urban search and rescue task force three out of menlo park spent the afternoon packing for the trip to texas. 16-person team specializes in water rescue. obviously, that's very much needed. team members are coming from several bay area departments including the fire district, central san mateo county, palo alto, san jose, san mateo, and south san francisco. task forces bringing five vehicles and ten boats and trailers, enough equipment to last a couple weeks. >> so we're hoping for, you know, success. success is really measured by going out there and saving people. that's what they're looking forward to doing. >> last time this team

tiffany. >> reporter: good morning, reggie. that is right. san francisco police say they will increase patrols at dolores park following yesterday's triple shooting. the park was packed with families, tourists, and children yesterday when the gunman or gunmen opened fire on the pedestrian bridge off church street. it's no secret the park is popular on weekends. police will assign two extra officers to the park from early morning until after dark to help ease everyone's concerns. the three victims were taken to sf general for treatment. one man is in kridicate condition. another was treated and released, and the third victim is a teenage boy. one witness described his very close call. >> just a moment of glimpsing up and seeing one person raising the gun to my face. and that's when six or seven rounds got shot off. and i just took off running. two people got hit behind me, and luckily, i only had a fragment stick to my pants. >> police say the shooting does not appear to be random. the suspect or suspects are still on the run. live in san fran
