i commute from south—west london to north—west london. i get the train from new maldon to wimbledon, and change there on the district line to earls court, getting the train to wembley on the piccadilly. i usually sit at the back of the train, and i get off at wimbledon. i was sitting at the end of the last carriage, the last three seats, two by the door, minding my own business as a train was approaching earls court. and the train was pretty packed by the time we got to parsons green. i was looking at my phone at the time. i heard this dull thud. my first reaction was we had hit something on the track, or maybe the train had become derailed. the next thing i heard was, i had my head down, eve ryo ne heard was, i had my head down, everyone started rushing for the door. i immediately stood up and wondered what was going on, exiting the train with everyone else. it was absolutely sheer pandemonium and panic, people were screaming and shouting, pushing to get off. there are no orderly exits on the train for people trying to get out at the sam
