police rushed to a neighborhood there cloverdale boulevard off of highway 101. the caller said someone was sneaking around in the backyard and had some kind of weapon. police say the suspect came at officers with a weapon. police shot the person who later died at the hospital. investigators have not told us anything about the suspect or the weapon. if you have any information, call police in petaluma. they are handling the investigation. >>> livermore police are expected to give us an update later today about a shooting saturday night involving one of their officers. this happened near the residence inn on airway boulevard. an officer on patrol saw what was described as a suspicious vehicle with a woman inside. it turned out that car was stolen last thursday. other police were called to the scene and the woman refused to get out of the car. the -- she started the car and drove it into two patrol cars. an officer shot the woman. she was taken to the hospital but her injuries are not considered serious. no officers were hurt. >>> evacuation orders have been lifted

cloverdale citrus fair, sonoma valley high school, petaluma and healdsburg and the fairgrounds. we have that list at www.nbcbayarea.com. >> pete suratos is where there are new evacuations coming up. pete? >> reporter: yeah, that's right, marcus. we are here in fairfield in solano county at the costco off green valley road. as i mentioned, essentially, you had different law enforcement meeting in this area before they carried out the evacuations, telling people to evacuate in this area. now, what i want to do is pull up a map showing where those evacuations took place. they evacuated people just north of rockville road and upper and west part of green valley road. that's the main area where they were carrying out those evacuations. they were doing that last night, going door-to-door, telling them to leave the area. the fire is on the border of napa and solano county. that is at the ridge area. at the top of the show, we showed that orange glow from the ridge area. that is where that fire is. that's a concern that it could go over that ridge and affect folks on this side. right no

cloverdale north, cloverdale north. geyserville, north, northwest. those are not northeast but they are expected to turn that way by tonight as the system from the pacific northwest moves through and then the northerly winds will pick up. that starts at 11:00 p.m. the red flag warning starts at 5:00 p.m. for some. 11:00 p.m. for others. higher elevations overnight into saturday morning. 40s and 50s on the temps. 30s to the north. hillsberg one observation 54. occidental at 34. i think the observations in napa have gone missing for obvious reasons there. south, east, east, west, and it makes a big difference on the 85% versus 58%. if you get that westerly breeze, it certainly helps. temperatures are cool enough. not much of a breeze. those are all good for right now. not much of a breeze. again, this is more later than sooner as far as the breeze goes. humidity is up. that's good. 92% in willows. some locations in the 30s. that prompted another freeze warning. that will continue until 9:00. up the pacific northwest, that system has to move through. th

look at cloverdale. two observations. one has in east and southeast wind. the other has a north wind and 45% humidity. 30s, 40s and 50s for the temperatures. we are down about 20 degrees compared to yesterday for some. napa airport and feel field still show a slight north wind. the fog is trying to work its way up the coast and has on parts of the mendocino coast. we will end up with 60s and 70s and a few low 80s today. >>> we do have problems in fire areas. highway 101 and 37 are open but there are a lot of detours. i want to mention a lot of the closures are on off ramps from highway 101. mendocino and centennial river. old redwood highway is closed. highway 128 at kill road. i would not recommend. there are too many detours. if you know your way around the area, you could go if you have to but be prepared. there will be a lot of closures. highway five 80 westbound at the richmond bridge toll plaza. they are clearing an injury accident from the two left lanes. there is a bigger backup than normal approaching the richmond bridge out to san rafael. the bay

cloverdale you have the east wind at 30% containment. napa county at 25% containment. almost 70 degrees with the northwest wind. american can turning southeast 53% humidity so it is amazingly dry. with that fairfield gusting up to 30. santa rosa has come down. petaluma southwest wind and there is a little bit of a variable with the wind direction in santa rosa. it is not all north or northeast. 50s and 60s for your temperatures. i think some of these sites have been lost the red flag warning until tomorrow morning at 5:00. the wind will be tailing off until 11:00 and i think it will verify because after the noon hour it should calm down. things should improve at the surface eventually, smoking and windy conditions from this system that went to the internet you can see this in nevada and salt lake city. the good news is we have another system coming and it will be much cooler arriving wednesday or thursday. 60s and 50s for most people. lakeport at 48 so we have a few signs of a westerly breeze for some but it is mostly north. napa airport 20 degrees warmer than 24 hours

sausalito 87, petaluma 87, santa rosa 89, napa 88, cloverdale 91, clear lake 82. i want to show you this good news. by wednesday night into thursday we will have green on the screen with a good amount of rain coming in the form of up to three 3/10 of an inch. this will be impacting the north bay first and then working into san francisco bringing us a chance of showers with drizzle. we will notice this by thursday into friday with possible lingering rain friday morning. >>> today the town of big sur is no longer cut off. the fight for the canyon bridge is now opened. the bridge along highway 1 is the main route into the town. the town had been cut off since february but here is the ribbon- cutting ceremony on the new bridge. trucks cars and bikes were allowed through. many businesses are happy that tourists can finally have a way in. >> i can smile now because everything is under control. >> a close call in marin county were neighbors came together to fight another fire.>>> sending help to northern california. just how far some crews have come to tackle the flames.

cloverdale 73. let's look at what we are watching also. by thursday night into friday, and saturday morning, this chance of rain will be arriving it's going to reach the north bay hills first and actually impact the north bay hills the most which is a concern because of the burn areas and could be a chance of mudslides from it so the amount of rain could be a quarter inch. north and east bay hills get the most. and several feet of sierra snow starting at 6500 feet elevation lowering to about 4,000 feet. so by sunday, there should be a good coating of snow in the resorts and the timing of this late thursday through saturday, then we have a second storm arriving on sunday. so saturday during the day should be a break before the next one arrives. but here's a look for the next few days. cool temperatures dropping off through the storm system through the weekend. but there is a cold front associated with it so it will be chilly, windy, wet, rainy, snowy, all of that in store for us later on. >>> right now, we are tracking a little bit of every
