abc 7 news reportser david louie has live from sfo. david. >> reporter: dan and kristen it was on track to match the 115 canceled flights yesterday because of all this smoke. currently stands at 103. and that does not include all the delayed flights. now if you look at the arrivals and departure screens, you can tell a lot of passengers were frowning. n some cases panner gears were rebooked on the next flight out. but flight delays were also a problem, affecting 1 in 4 of all of sfo operations. smoke created visibility issues that prevented two planes landing on separate runways. so airlines had to take a big look at scaling back. >> airlines begin making decisions where they can shrink their flit schedule. the less flights they operate during these conditions, it reduces the amount of delays they experience. so oftentimes airlines will look at high frequency markets. for example, from here to southern california. if they have hourly flights, they may cancel one and combine it with the next. >> where are you headed? >> i'm headed to bu

david louie is live at the sonoma marin fairgrounds tonight. david. >> reporter: dan and kristen, more than 300 people have been calling the marin sonoma marin fairgrounds temporary shelter for this past week. the head count today is 235. so there is room for more people. they have medical clinic here, they have psychological services here. but the most important thing that's happening here is the distribution of donations. much needed by evacuees who left their homes with virtually nothing. in many cases, all they left home with was the clothes on their backs. evacuees have been grateful to have access of what amounts to an outdoor version of a big box store. a virtual army of volunteers hard at work to sort and organize the donatins and to take them in. the red cross is here too to run the shelter. >> we have continued receiving donations from nearly the moment we opened, and they have not stopped. and we're doing our best to serve the community that's here on our site, but also donate and move items around to other shelters that might be sho

david louie joins us live in boulder yeek more. >> reporter: the suspect marlon coy is no stranger to the sheriff's office. they arrested him one day after the bear fire started on october 16. in possession of stolen goods taken from a house inside the burn zone. he is in jail with bail set at $800,000. investigators from the sheriff's office believed some sort of dispute was behind the bear fire. 54-year-old boulder creek resident marlon dale coy is expected to face arson charges. >> they witnessed marlon coy lighting this fire. a fire which spread and then became bigger and caused what we are now calling the bear fire. >> video from drone view 7 shows the damage done by the fire, burning close to 400 acres and destroying two homes, four outbuildings, five rvs and vehicles. a woman with whom he had a relationship lost her fire in the fire. >> rarely have i seen a more reckless action. if not for the heroic efforts of first responders, he could easily be facing murder charges today. >> residents complained of suspicious activity. >>> someone close to the property lost all their solar

. >> david louie live in petaluma now. david. >> reporter: well, larry and kristen, they're insisting we weary face masks so we're complying. the challenge for evacuees at the fairgrounds and they don't know when or if they're going home anytime soon. this is their home for now. earlier in the week, there were 300 of them here. now, that census figure is down to 235. one of the evacuees here is liz costa, who works for the state and was forced from her home in santa rosa. she's here with a coworker and friend in search of necessities since he left home with nothing. this part of the fairgrounds looks like a big box store organized by volunteers by category of goods. donationvise come in nonstop all week, and supplies are being shared with some of the other shelters in the area that might be short of certain items. >> i don't know about my home yet. but you know, there's such great support around. everybody is just being wonderful. you couldn't ask for better folks. and we're so grateful for places like this. >> short dista
