with meterologist lawrence karnow. lawrence karnow: skies are hazy but mostly clear tonight after another warm day. offshore winds sent temperatures into the 80s in many parts of the bay area. fire weather is still a big concern but it appears that weather conditions will improve this week. winds will generally be light and the himidity should increase some on tuesday and much more into wednesday. on the satellite image you can see high pressure overhead. offshore winds will continue through monday to make for another warm day. the sea breeze will increase on tuesday as high pressure weakens. in fact there is a chance we could see some rain later in the week. there is still plenty of smoke in our skies from the fires and there is a spare the air in effect for tomorrow. air quality will still be poor in the central and southern san joaquin valley tomorrow. our computer models are showing a change with a few more clouds on tuesday. it will be warm tomorrow with highs in the upper 80s inland, 70s and 80s around the bay, a

lawrence hurley is at our table to tell us about it. he's a correspondent. thank you for being here. the trump administration is in the spotlight as the u.s. top chord return. >> this is the first full term since the administration came in january. they've had some time to adjust their legal positions and some of these big cases toward the t court including the very first case of the term, where the obama administration sided with employees in the trump administration switched. >> this is a case about whether workers could be prevented from grouping together from filing false claims with their employer. this has a big repercussions for workers. it would make it harder for workers to bring these claims, at least that's what the lawyers say. with the court being the court maybe likely to side with the company at this case the trump administration change could help with that. >> how many cases will the couru take up this term? >> usually 70 or so cases, they haven't taken more up yet but they have taken up some big ones the be here in the next few months. >> an

but, lawrence, that segment demonstrated we are at a dangerous moment in our history. the president made many controversial statements during the presidential campaign, many of which he's reversed. nato obsolete. now he's for it. was going to brand china currency manipulator the first day. he hasn't done so. the statement that concerned me the most is when he said it might be a good thing if south korea, japan and saudi arabia got a nuclear weapon. to me, that demonstrated a lack of understanding of the history of nuclear weapons, first how unique they are. so vastly different from any weapon that's ever been devised or used in armed conflict. but secondly, how the united states has led the world in enacting a regime to restrain the dissemination of nukes because that's been a principle foreign policy objective of the united states over half a cently, largely successful. there are dozens of countries that have a capacity to build a nuclear weapon. the majority of them have refrained from doing so in reliance upon the united states and the nuclear nonproliferation regim
