second time in less than six months, and air canada plane is involved in a frightening incident at sfo. we have more from the airport on the close call. >> reporter: the faa is investigating yet another incident involving air canada here at sfo. the air traffic control said it did clear the air canada flight from montreal to land here and the pilot acknowledged those instructions sunday night. minutes later, the tower controller told them multiple times to, quote, go around because they weren't sure if the preceding flight would be completely off the runway. we got no response from air canada. a supervisor used flashing red lights to alert the crew to go around, standard protocol when the aircrew does not respond and those signals were also ignored. in the end come the plane landed safely around 9:30 sunday night with the air canada crew telling the tower that they had a radio problem. you may recall this summer that and air canada plane shows the taxiway for the runway and pulled up to avoid crashing the plane, waiting to take off. for the incident on sunday, they are investigating. a

also it was 91 degrees in -- at sfo. that was the temperature at sfo yesterday. across the board, temperatures anywhere between 10 and 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. of course the real concern is these hot, dry conditions are leading to increased fire danger, especially worrisome for people up in the north bay. even with all of the rain we got last week, a decent amount of rain, the threat of wildfires remains. >> with the couple days of heat that we've had and the wind, you know, it's -- it's gone now. it's not doing us any good. >> our concern is this is our dryest time of the year. the fuels are dried out. they're ready to burn. >> reporter: now, the real good news in all of this is especially compared to what we saw yesterday morning, it was -- it was very breezy yesterday morning. the winds this morning are very calm. no red flag warnings in place. but still firefighters on alert nonetheless because you do have dry conditions and you have very warm conditions. and so that obviously makes it easier for a fire to take off. if a fire were to sta

sfo at 5. and that's what's causing the air to feel a little better this morning. once the wind direction shifts though, it's going to come from this direction push more smoke into our skies later on today. how's our humidity doing? it's not that dry this morning. that's for sure. we are seeing a lot more moisture in the air. 74% humidity for hayward. 96 in oakland. so that's good news. napa 93% humidity. 89% for santa rosa. but the humidity levels will go down into the teens again by the time we get to this afternoon and tomorrow as well especially for the north and east bay hills. so when that offshore wind returns, the northeast winds start to pick up. humidity drops. that's what we are going to see tonight. we are not going to get much relief overnight when it comes to humidity, either. here's a look at the clear skies across the bay right now. we are not seeing the nasty smoky skies out there. santa rosa 41. san francisco 53. oakland 50s. concord mid-50s, as well. the light onshore flow is

here's a look at sfo. the hazy skies are still hanging around and they are going to stay that way throughout the day. yesterday, in fact, sfo had several delays because it was so smoky. hard to fly those planes in and out of the airport. san francisco 55. santa rosa 50 degrees. so at least it's cooler in these morning hours. temperatures will be below average. so here's a look at that hour- by-hour forecast for the wind. so i want to show you what's expected. in the next hour, napa could start to feel an increase in those winds up to 18. fairfield 26. winds pick up in napa by 6 a.m. fairfield 29-mile-per-hour winds. santa rosa feeling a breeze but in the next couple of hours, it should die down there. instead more dry northeast wind will continue through 7 a.m. at 8 a.m., strong at 17 napa in a, 25 for fairfield, san rafael strong at 14. by 9 a.m., it should calm down slightly but still between 15 to 25-mile-per-hour winds sustained winds, so gusts could still be up to 50 miles an hour this morning. by 10,

it involved an uber that had just left sfo. that is where we find abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson. tiffany? >> reporter: good morning, jessica. yes, the uber driver had picked up two passengers here at sfo around 11:00 last night. then he got on westbound 380 shortly after another car pulled up nearby and started shooting. the uber driver was hit in the neck and crashed just east of the el camino real exit. the two passengers were not hurt. the driver was taken to the hospital and he is expected to survive. another black car that looked somewhat similar to the uber driver's black toyota corolla was also shot multiple times. the people inside that have car ran away before police arrived at the scene. police closed westbound 380 nearly five hours during the investigation. >> obviously right now we have our investigators talking to not just the driver, when we can, but also the two passengers in there interviewing them for what they may have seen. >> reporter: chp reopened westbound 380 just before 4:00 this morning. they say t
