the uc berkeley published find when there was a nevada gun show, there was a 70% spike in gun violence in california communities in the two weeks following the gun show. we are talking communities within a driving distance to nevada. now, one of the issues may be that nevada requires no background check on private sales like the ones you see at gun shows. now, the study found no such surge in violence after the california gun shows. they suggest california's gun laws work to curb that violence. here, gun show sales require those background checks and the ten-day waiting period, which nevada does not. this is weeks after stephen paddock shot and killed 58 people before killing himself. authorities are still trying to track down where paddock got all of his guns, according to nbc news, the gun tracing system in the u.s. realized on paper record, if you can believe that. we should mention this study was partially funded by the national institute of health and we are going to post some of the methodology on www.nbcbayarea.com. we know when there is a study, a lot of folks like to know the
