in your book, you write about vincent scully, professor at yale university. what influence did he have in your thinking? mr. lubin: he had a tremendous influence. he was a great professor of architecture at yale. as a -- yougendary know -- lecturer. i wanted to learn some tricks, how to be a great lecturer. you definitely could learn it from scully. but when he talked about world war i memorials in france, he was so eloquent. and he got all choked up when he was talking about it. and hearing him in the audience, i got choked up. and that was one of the things, i think, that launched in my head. i want to write about this sometime in my life. it was a very emotional thing. yearsg the book some later, i sort of questioned my emotions that day and hearing vince scully lecture, that when about the emotional great things our guys did in the war, in a way, that validates -- i mean, this is a long conversation we have to have another time. but i think hallowing the deaths of our soldiers, yes, they our great respect, but there is also a way in which it parlays into
