60 currently at atlantic city international. you do have a decent breeze but it's coming out of the southwest right now so while you might notice that it doesn't really add too much as a wind chill as we discussed earlier but in does -- you know, 52 degrees to start off the afternoon is not bad. let's talk about the weekend. now, before we get nice into into this i want to clarify we're looking at model data. that is important. the first model is the gfs, one of the main ones we tend to look at. however in this scenario it's throwing us curve balls. it's flipping back and forth. it should be warm enough we would see rain mixing in that would limit snowfall totals in the city but you could see a couple inches with no problem in the lehigh valley and the poconos. then we switch to the european model with brings the rain-snow line to the southeast. that brings us to the cold air in philly. that means a couple of inches of snow with no problem. here's the thing. it's so warm it's going to rebound on the thermometer very quickly even

at shore cooler, 63 degrees at the coast along atlantic city. if you go up the a.c. expressway to the airport which isn't too far away from the shore you're looking at a record high of 74 so a little inland from the ocean and it does get warmer. in philadelphia it's warm. some sun mixing in later today with record warmth and a high of 76 degrees. the existing record is 72. there's hardly any chance at all that we're not going to set a record in philadelphia and in fact like yesterday i think we'll see a bunch of new ones fall or be arrived at later today. in terms of rain a couple little sprinkles here or there during the day but i think the best chance of rain is really in the evening hours. by 6 o'clock the model has it just coming in the lehigh valley and then kind of filtering through the region up until 11 o'clock and maybe midnight down by the shore so a little damp tonight. an evening shower overnight, 48 the overnight low. there could be wet patchy fog around by morning and then tomorrow a big change, a frontal boundary setting up to the south, 49 is tomorrow

this is atlantic city. heavy rains, mays landing, same thing. very heavy rains. this is racing off to the northeast at 20 miles per hour. but if you get underneath this you'll probably have to pull over briefly it's coming down that heavily. this extends south ward to areas just east of the morris town river there. the next zoom will take us a little bit farther to the west in and around the immediate philadelphia area to center city and heavier rains are off to the east across western portions of gloucester and camden counties and interior sections of south jersey. and lighter stuff off to the northwest. here's the wider view. again everything racing off to the northeast and really that's the saving grace, the fact that these cells are moving so quickly because if they were moving slower with the amount of rain that's falling underneath some of these cells, we would have tremendous flooding problems. fortunately things are moving along quickly. this came through early this morning, this is punching through now, that will pull through during the late morning hour
