the money is on brent kavanaugh. the president plans to announce at 6:00 p.m. our time, prime time back in the east and he did announcing neil gorsuch here last year. whoever he picks, the nominee goes before a senate committee where there will be hearings and then pass on its recommendation to the full senate which will vote. now, the rules have change recently. the republicans changed them. 50 senators have to vote yes to approve the nominee. they have 51 senators on the republican side but.. several o expressed uncertainty that they would vote yes. notably susan collins, republican and pro-life. she said she would not approve somebody who might reverse roe v. wade. all right.di so that leaves you with 50 votes maybe on the republican side. there are several democrats, though, who may indeed vote yes. they're in red states. obviously, depends on who the president picks. they're in red states with very exposed seats and they have to decide is it better to, you know, go against the constituency on the justice, lose my seat and then maybe not flip the house? or
