and i )m kris sanchez in for laura garcia we continue following breaking news out of the east bay right now.. a health alert for communities in martinez and pachecho.. and this is all because of the shell refinery there.. >> good friday morning to you. >>> there is a health alert. this is a area on your map here. it is because of a shell refinery issue happening while we speak. today we continue to track what's going ochbn. i know you said you could smell and taste something in the air. what's it like now? >> it is not so much the case. i don't really take that metallic taste in my mouth but you can see the refinery is still functioning. there is steam coming out of it. we have not heard any along-terma -- alarms necessarily. it looks like normal day here. let's take a look at video from earlier this morning. people with respiratory sensitivities might be effected due to a unit upset. it's not clear what that means exactly. they say it's an incident. no details on that. eye, skin, nose or throat irritation. people experience any irritation. they could go inside and rens any irritated ar

and i )m laura garcia. >>> good friday morning to you. let me show you the rain. that's our mobile doppler radar. we are able to move it around the bay area to get the best view of exactly what's happening. look at this, some lightning. we are tracking that well to the north as we get a look at parts of the county as the rain continues to move through farther to the north. also heavier rain that's been moving through northern sonoma. we are also tracking light showers moving through the peninsula. this is all because of the moisture that moved through and the models still showing some rain possible as we go through the south bay through the 7:00 to 8:00 hours. by 10:00 we could see some spotty showers moving through the east bay. a lot to track here as we go through the morning and throughout the day as that humidity stays high into the afternoon. we'll talk about what this means for your weekend plans coming up. they may have to do a couple of flights through the windshield wipers. >>> you may have to tap your brakes. you can use cash lanes to get by. it would be
