this is for areas in the north bay, higher than a thousand feet. and it includes lake, yolo county, and solano counties. the humidity could drop as low as 5%. current conditions right now for the county fire are improving. temperatures have gone up. recruitme relative humidity has gone down. winds have died down as well. gusts only to 6 miles per hour. they're coming from the north right now. we'll have more of that sea breeze and even cooler temperatures for the bay area. this is a really interesting live shot from our sutro tower. we're looking towards the north. and you can see the sliver of blue sandwiched between the low fog and the clouds coming in from the coast and at the top of your screen, that's the smoke coming in from the fires to our north bay. santa rosa is currently at 60 degrees. napa, 58. we'll probably have issues with has a conditions all throughout the day. fairfield and concord already in the low 70s. and at the golden gate bridge, it's the fog, and we also have some mists and drizzle this morning. i would use my wipers a bit.

for the north bay. this is going to remain in effect for lake county until tomorrow bat 5:00 a.m. because we're still tracking some windy conditions and low humidity. it's recovering very slowly overnight. north bay hills, that will expire about 11:00 p.m. tonight. i want to talk about the current conditions along the pawnee fire area. temperatures bat 103 degrees. seeing triple-digit temps in that area. if we look about 9:00, 10:00, those temperatures start to drop into the 80s. and thankfully we're going to see a nice bit of a change in the weather pattern that will set us up for some cooling. that's going to break apart some of the offshore flow winds. temperatures remain fairly warm. 85 degrees in san jose. concord, still about 99. now along the coastline for the coast part it remains nice and cool. if you were able to get away, one of the cooler spots. san francisco at 77 degrees. again, we have a bit of a cooling trend on the way. i'll talk about what this means for your temperatures and a setup i

bay here, the smokey skies across the north bay. that's where the fires are, of course. for the pawnee fire, we have some good news. humidity levels are up to about 72% yesterday morning, right around 50% after it dropped yesterday. it was very hot yesterday. 68 degrees right now near clear lake and wind gusts 25 miles an hour. just south of there, gusting up to 34 miles an hour. it is a bit breezy this morning but at least the temperatures are on the side of the firefighters. it's not too hot right now. humidity is up, and 70% is good news. we'll start to see the smokey skies moving toward the east and central valley. eventually all this smoke is going to head more north by the time wednesday and thursday get here. for now it's more of an onshore breeze, and we are seeing the coastal cloud cover out there. that's helping keep the smoke away from us. it's a sign the winds are pushing the clouds inland. air quality is moderate. of course where the fires are, it's worse. all we are noticing right now is the marine layer out there, so

smoke has carried all the way down to the north bay. ererily covering areas already ravaged by wildfires last october. this is what it looked like last night in santiago row he a. here -- santa rose. carr fire is impacting the northwest side of redding. melissa colorado brings us this report. >> reporter: good morning. we were northwest of redding and quite frankly, there is not much left of this community anymore after the carr fire swept through the area. you can see there is still lingering hot spots in the area. no word yet when homeowners will be allowed back to see if there is anything left to salvage. in redding, we were there as people returned to their homes in the lake redding community. neighbors say their block looks like a warzone after the carr fire crossed the sacramento river and smothered homes in this neighborhood. dozens of families will need to rebuild from the ground up. employees with the city of redding were surveying the property damage counting which home mas made it and which did . neighbors say their hearts ar
