( darya ) in the north bay... a family of 4 is home safe... after being rescued from a boat that ran aground. it happened saturday afternoon in suisun bay. a coast guard helicopter lifted each of the four riders in the boat -- mom, dad and 2 kids -- to safety. no one was hurt. an update to a fire in contra costa county that led to a shelter in place for thousands in the pittsburg area. this had to do with a vegetation fire in a former hazmat area near 3rd and harbor street. a helicopter was used to put out the flames. around 6 p-m the shelter in place was lifted. no one was hurt and the fire is out. the cause is unknown. (jrstone) and in amador county -- a brush fire that burned almost 800 acres forced an entire neighborhood to evacuate. once they were out of their homes, all they could do was watch firefighters and hope they could stop the flames. like many flames. like many neighbors, autumn miller stood at this lookout point. watching the flames spread in the afternoon. <"the flames were just like bursting up it was hard to tell whether it was going to be alright because we didn't know if the wind was going to change direction."> officials say no homes have been destroyed and no injuries have been reported. (justine) now to a big story we've been following tonight -- we're hearing from the couple who came upon a missing oregon woman who survived nearly a week after her car went over a cliff in monterey county. auhtorites say the couple was on a camping trip when they found angela hernandez in a jeep liberty at the bottom of the 200-foot cliff. they gathered items from the scene, including the jeep's license plate, to bring to authorities. about 30 minutes later they located hernandez -- who was injured but stable. the 23-year- old had been missing since july 6. <"we asked her, 'were you in the jeep?' and she said, 'that was my jeep.' chelsea moore/found missing woman: "and at that point, we just kind of like panicked with adrenaline, like, 'oh my god, you were in that car we just saw and you're alive.'"> (justine) angela hernandez told authorities she swerved to avoid hitting a rabbit and then crashed into the rocks below. rescuers say it appears hernandez suffered a concussion. ♪ ♪
