an update to a fire in contra costa county that led to a shelter in place for thousands in the pittsburg area. this had to do with a vegetation fire in a former hazmat area near 3rd and harbor street. a helicopter was used to put out the flames. around 6 p-m the shelter in place was lifted. no one was hurt and the fire is out. the cause is unknown.
