, numbers of the trump campaign and potentially trump himself. that has been the crucial element of all of this. there hasn't been any proven collusion. i think that is the important word, there is no proof so far of collusion with the trump campaign. i wouldn't exactly say that. i would say the special council hasn't indicted anyone. but already available in the media, there is a lot of information about different contacts, but several members of the trump campaign had all the trump family had. one of them, for example, was donald trump jr, donald trump's son, emailing with a representative of the russian representative, somebody who was representing the russian government, who offered hacked information on hillary clinton and donald trumer said he loved it and recommended the information be used later in the summer. so there is quite a lot of information there, actually. but robert mueller and the special counsel's office, they haven't commented on that yet. we don't know how they look at that from a legal perspective. as american citizens we h

trump's help in all these things. how much of that laundry list do you think trump is willing to help him with? >> the concern with the story is a huge hole at the middle of it in the sense of trump and putin will meet one-on-one. we have been told there is no agenda. nobody in the room except interpreters. there is not press conference afterwards. there is a speech made, but no press. we really will never know what was said. we have concerns of what might be said. rewind back to the beginning of the trump presidency when steve bannon and mike flynn still in the white house. the idea that ukraine or crimea may be recognized as russian and in return, some deal done in the middle east. that idea went way when bannon and flynn came out and john kelly came in. we seem to be back where we were at the beginning of 2017 with the idea that maybe some kind of grand deal that can be done involving the middle east. i don't know what that would look like. it is certainly is something allies are concerned about. >> thank you, john

your answer can be, did you hear donald trump say that and donald trump jr. say that to donald trump your answer is yes, no or i don't recall. so one reason on the giuliani side of this case why you might want this out there is it is now extremely difficult for the trump-giuliani side of the case to communicate directly to all the other witnesses who could have been in that room. so getting this out there is saying to them, you have to make a decision on your answer. is it yes, no or i don't recall. it's warning them. and the more of them who know about this ahead of time that they have to make that decision, it is slightly more likely that they can reach for the i don't recall than might be the case if it is sprung on them by surprise. >> you got to come in lock and loaded on c. you walk in the door with c. always c. >> as you say some of those people may have given their answers. >> mueller might already have this from someone else who was in that room and might already have been using it tactically in conversations and interviews with other people. >> new

and donald trump jr. who between with the two of them have denied the president's knowledge of the meeting nine times. >> oh, it's a political problem to be sure, but i don't think it's a legal problem. even if the president knew of the meeting, knew exactly the role of the woman who was there that she was representing the russian government, and even knew that they were going to go to try to collect dirt that had already been gotten by the russians on hillary clinton, that would be a political sin, but it wouldn't be a federal crime. and i think if this is the best that cohen has to offer, i don't think he's going to be given immunity by the federal prosecutors. he may have to compose and not only sing to get that because this isn't very much from a legal point of view. it's a big deal from a political and public relations point of view, but legally it's a 3 on a scale of 10 maybe. >> what's also interesting about cohen's story on this, and again, if it turns out to be true, he claims there are other peo
