so perhaps president trump simply wanted to elevate mike lee's standing back home in utah. but john harwood, we have an nbc news poll showing that 61% want roe versus wade to be upheld, only 31% want it to be overturned. and that would seem to indicate that that's where the democrats should be putting the pressure as this confirmation process unfolds. >> right. and you know, all of these nominees as neera indicated are people who ideologically are at odds with the majority of the american people. that's why i think the stakes for the individual candidates are big. the stakes for different factions of the conservative movement, mitch mcconnell's got a candidate, bill bennett's got a candidate. there are various ones and each faction will fly speck the records of the others. but for the rest of the country, people outside that group, these choices are all pretty much the same. they have been selected for their fealty to conservative judicial positions and one bedrock, the bedrock, conservative judicial positions is that roe v. wade was wrongly decided. is it possible that one
