at 2:00 today. heading into the upper 70s this afternoon. so we are enjoying a bit of a cooldown. not only for the coastal areas but also as you work your way inland with livermore today reaching 80 and 79 in san jose. here's an update on hurricane lane this morning. while you were sleeping, this is still maintaining its category 4 strength, and it's a very large storm, already starting to see some of the outer rain bands moving into the hawaiian islands as of now. we have the hurricane warnings in effect and flash flood warnings in effect. the wind speeds at 130 miles per hour. it's starting to make its northwesterly turn at 7 miles per hour, and then over the next couple days it will turn more north, more westerly, i should say, as it moves closer to oahu, and also kauai. still a category one hurricane, and very dangerously close to some of those islands. here's what to expect as the storm moves in. we're looking at the potential of 5 to 15 inches of rain. isolated rain amounts up to 20 inches, wh
