we know by john kelly, we know by jared kushner. but we don't have a lot of reports of bad advice that he's gotten from don mcgahn. at this point with the investigation closing in on him, does the president getting rid of don mcgahn expose him to greater legal jeopardy? >> probably not, because he doesn't listen to anyone's advice unless he wants to hear that advice, and it's advice he wants to hear. he'll listen to rudy giuliani mouth off and alan dershowitz when dershowitz goes on the television to attack robert mueller, and he'll listen to people who repeat the lines that he wants to hear. but he will not listen to good lawyers. donald trump, even in his days back in new york, had trouble finding good lawyers. he took roy cohn, who was senator joe mccarthy's lawyers, he was one of the nastiest lawyers in new york. the bottom line is donald trump doesn't want to listen to good lawyers, good lawyers don't want to work for him. he ends up with people like michael cohen. it's been a disaster. i would never want to be donald trump's l

i think john kelly stays as long as john kelly wants to stay. that has been a clear directive from the president of the united states. john kelly has been there for a year. the president made a statement ago that he asked the general to stay on through the 2020 election. historically speaking, it is unlikely to occur based on what the traditional model of a chief of staff is in the white house. traditionally a chief of. some longer, some shorter, but it is traditionally 18 months because it is a daunting, amazingly difficult job. i think general kelly will stay as long as he wants to. i don't know if you will stay through 2020, but that will be his decision. the 2020 election, you will see a natural progression of individuals who will leave. i look across the cabinet and i think i am large members of the cabinet are happy in their position. i mean that. acosta, or anythe cos of those will be leaving soon. prior to the 2020 election you will see one or two cabinet members that will depart as a matter of course. i don't want to prognosticate as wh
