we have been held captive by the nra. the post-sandy hook i was very very pessimistic on this issue. i do know how we would write through and then we have the parkland massacre in parkland florida and those young people have been nothing short of extraordinary. my family and i came to the march and people i'm working with now from the south and west sides and others working and i'm actually now more hopeful than i have ever been. honestly i think we have failed to keep our kids safe. we have raised a generation of teens on gun violence i apologize every time i talk to kids i apologize we haven't done a good job and we have done a terrible job. the young people are going to win. i do think of it in terms of a movement to go to the source movement. those were led by people that look like me. those are led by teens who are willing to put their bodies on the line and be killed, should flood. congressman john lewis changed our country. and people are saying this isn't okay. it's not normal. we are going to push back. i'm more
