napa airport at one time was 39, now warming up to45. so big drop, 20 degrees for some, including the napa airport. a lot of 40s here in areas that were much, much warmer yesterday. napa airport off 18, oakland airport 11 degrees cooler, fairfield down 15, livermore is minus six, concord minus 7, sfo minus 8. still a northerly breeze in the higher elevations. it's not 40 or 50 miles per hour but still north wind and so higher elevations get that very low humidity. have to keep an eye on things here because there's no rain in sight, for sure. and we still have high pressure and a locked-in pattern up there, it being the high. it's down there, that being the low and they are not moving. it's called a blocking pattern and once they set up shop, it's tough to break it down. looks like it will probably hang around for a while, been very active, one of the wettest october ever down in phoenix and it's just nonstop rain. remember they have had a couple of tropical systems go through that left a lot of rain. 60s, 70s and 80s for them. for us, te

today, that danger came to napa. earlier today, a worker at the winery on monticello road in napa fell into or under a grape picking machine, a machine neighbors confirmed the winery uses. the deceased is 49-year-old leon marcelo lua, a napa native, pronounced dead at 12:45 this afternoon. the first responders appeared to be cal fire units. the napa county sheriff's office is working on a public statement but the investigation is under the auspices of cal osha. this is a privately owned winery that has been producing bordeaux style wines since 1986. it's owned by the family that operates the 94-acre vineyard and winemaking facility. this is the fourth worker death in northern california wine country in 3 years. including today's, back in 2016, an accident at the joel gott winery claimed a worker's life. last year at sutter home winery in santa lena, a worker died from a fall. and last may, an arrowhead winery worker died in a tractor accident. one other, back in 2010. a worker was killed at a winery in lodi, californ

santa rosa, napa, towards concord. it is a warm night and more surprising perhaps is how dry it is outside. these numbers, 12% in napa. 13. 12% in santa rosa. this is what you expect to see around 2:00 in the afternoon. not approaching midnight that is a clear case of warming, sinking, dry air aloft. gusty winds mixing that air down the surface. you'll notice in san jose and san francisco for now, relative islands of higher humidity as those north winds really haven't picked up just yet for areas south of san francisco. thanks to the winds, tomorrow morning we'll wake up to 60, and some places may begin the day in the mid-60s as the dry north winds continue all night long in the north bay. and look at the humidity levels as we approach sunrise. normally these should be 50, 60, 70%. instead single digits clearlake into napa, and even a sunrise down to san francisco and orinda. bayside dropping potentially into the 20% range. notice san jose, slayer valley not as much. we don't expect as much of an impact in terms of the
