the faa is not telling us. they're citing privacy concerns, you can hear from that audio it was very difficult to make out what she was saying. that air traffic controller broke. she eventually became unresponsive. it was a male worker who returned from break, discovered her, and took over communicating with the pilots. the faa says they're investigating the situation. the agency said as a result, they've changed its overnight staffing policies so now the faa requires in the first 90 minutes of the mind shift and depending on the volume of traffic, there must be two controllers in the air traffic control tower at all times. now the agency says in this instance where that controller was incapacitated, she was the only one in the tower. again, they're not saying h she is or how or why she became incapacitated for privacy concerns, but it is clear. this is a troubling scenario. you know air traffic controllers, they're critical in helping aircraft take off and land safely. all that said, the agency said this didn'

the design and the faa certification process that deemed the plane safe to fly. this investigation is all happening while another probe into a newer version boeing 737 is underway. investigators are trying to determine why a lion airplane crashed. officials are now looking into that crash investigation. the airline says, specifically talking about lion air here, they say that boeing's flight manual did not contain guidance on new flight control features. that echoes what pilots with the allied pilot association, which is a pilot labor union here in the u.s. told me. boeing failed to warn pilots about a potentially dangerous feature on the new boeing 737 max eight and max nine. this is a very high tech aircraft. a spokesman told me, quote, they didn't provide us all the information that we rely on when we fly an aircraft, specifically with the aircraft flight control system. i just want to make one last point. they all say that they believe -- they meaning u.s. pilots -- believe this aircraft is safe. the danger comes in when boeing, the manufacture, did not enlig
